Hello all, I'm Raphael and new on this but have seen how good and cooperating everybody here has been among themselves.

I'm recently received NOA for my I-130 and also NOA for my I-129F. I've been trying to find out what i need to start getting myself prepared for the embassy interview but have been having problems until i found this great site.

Anybody who has knowledge should pls advise me on it. I also heard somebody saying i can file for both CR-1 while the I-129F is been processed. Also anybody who has recently been approved of I-129F been processed in California? Need to have a clue on the timeline.

Thanks all and will be patiently waiting for your advice.

One Love.

Raphael,

The best visa would be the CR1 because now all you have to do is pay the AOS fee bill of $70 and then the visa fee of $400. Once you get here you will receive your green card in the mail within a few weeks and that's that.

With a K3 visa, you will have to pay the $131 visa fee before the interview and then file for Adjustment of Status which has a cost of $1,010. You will have to wait approximately 3-6 months for your work permit, while the green card can take between 6-12 months.

If you choose the CR1, you will have to deal with the NVC from now on and keep in touch with them. Ignore anything you may get from the embassy regarding the K3.

If you decide to go for the K3, do the same thing. Ignore any paperwork you may receive regarding the CR1 and follow the instructions from the embassy for the K3.

You can find out more about the NVC process for the CR1 visa here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...he_NVC_ShortCut
