Also just so you know only the US citizen can do the application for the immigration papers. Although you can have a say and help fill out the forms ultimately its the USC that signs and sends in the forms. Its only later in the process that the beneficiary is involved in thier part of the form filling.

Did you get married in Peru or in the United states? IF you got married in Peru and went through that process on you own then you shouldnt have any problem doing the immigration papers on your own.

hi, thanks for your help . we got married in usa 9 months ago, and we started the process to get mi work permit and travel autorization while i was there, we sent all the documents, medical exams, etc..to the usci , so they told us that i should get mi work permit and travel autorization in the middle of december, everything was perfect so we decided came to peru to visit and wait, but after 2 weeks that we got here the usci sent us an e -mail with the date for my biometrics in portland, obviously i cant go, and the e -mail also said that i cant leave usa and if i do that they 'll cancel all the process, so...too late . they did it. now we have to start everything again but this time its a lot harder because im going to stay here in peru and he's going to go back to usa this saturday.im really sad .i dont know when im going to see him again =( we thought that maybe get the k3 will be faster because i alredy did the medical exams, we sent all the papers and forms that they ask . so they have all my information, but i dont think so.we need to starT from cero . its frustrating.

AOS means adjustment of status, and u have to do it after u r in the US, and it costs like 1010 without a lawyer....our lawyer, the one that did the K3 , asked for 2600 for this.

If u go for the CR1, it might take longer than 4 months to be together...but u dont have to do the AOS when ur here.

Basicaly, the AOS allowes u to work, travel...its the process to get ur GC. If u do the CR1, u will have the GC few weeks after u get here.

We did the K3, and now we r facing a big problem, cause i cant work...and we need the money ....so, if u guys can wait, go for the CR1.

No, my husband was not there with me, and the interview was easy...took like 5 minutes, but i was inside the embassy for almost 4 hours.

U have to show all the documents u have, so keep the phone bills, emails, chats, plane tickets, pictures, because they will wanna see all this. Also, be relaxed, dont speack unless they ask u a question, if they are not saying anything, dont feel like u have to explain or say something. They will ask the same question more then 1 time, to see if u will give the same answer. So, its just frustrated, not difficult.

If u need any other informations abt this subject, dont hasitate to ask!
