I wanted to post my timeline, so that it may help others who are just entering this process to understand how long things take. Hope it helps.

Jordana - Boston, USA

Andrew - Newbury, UK

Moving to: BOSTON, USA

Oct 09 2005, - Met in St. Maarten

Nov - Dec 2005, - Andrew travels to Massachusetts

Mar 2006, - Andrew travels to Massachusetts

July - Sept 2006, - Jordana travels to the UK

Dec - Feb 2007, - Jordana travels to the UK

Feb - Apr 2007, - Andrew travels to Massachusetts

May - Aug 2007, - Andrew travels to Massachusetts

Sept - Oct 2007, - Andrew travels to Massachusetts

Oct - Dec 2007, - Jordana travels to the UK

May - Aug 2008, - Andrew travels to Massachusetts

June 2008, - Start collecting data for I-129F

July 09 2008, - Submit Original Submission I-129F

July 11 2008, - I-129F arrived at Vermont Service Center

July 16 2008, - United States Postal Service return the "registered delivery" card to prove that our application was delivered and signed for.

August 5th 2008, - Money Order is cashed!

August 7th 2008, - I-797C, Notice of Action 1 Form is received.

August 18th 2008, Touched!

December 18th 2008, - NOA2, Petition Approval is sent out.

December 2008 - Jan 2009, Jordana travels to the UK for Xmas.

December 24th 2008, NOA2 received in the post.

December 29th 2008, National Visa Centre receives application.

January 9th 2009, Packet 3 arrives from the US Embassy in London. (Also our 3yr/3mth anniversary) :)

January 19th 2009, Packet 3 (DS-230 Part I, DS-156, DS-156K & DS157) all returned to the US Embassy in London.

January 20th 2009, Packet 3 arrives via Special Delivery at the US Embassy in London.

February 17th 2009, Packet 3 "Tick-List" is returned to the US Embassy in London.

February 19th 2009, Touched!

February 27th 2009, MEDICAL EXAMINATION in London.

March 6th 2009, Medical Results arrive in the mail. All Good!

March 27th 2009, EMBASSY INTERVIEW, in London.

March 27th 2009, VISA APPROVED (pending further documentation)

May 6th 2009, Police Records are returned in the post after waiting nearly 40 days!!

May 7th 2009, Secured Courier collects my police records and passport and delivers them to the US Embassy.

May 14th 2009, Visa and Mysterious Brown Envelope (MBE) arrive via the courier service. It has taken 310 days since we first sent our I-129 in the mail.

June 1st 2009, Andrew emigrates to the United States! (Almost 1 Year since we started this process).

July 27th 2009, Go to City Hall in Boston to apply for our Marriage License. (Walk up to a window, fill in a form and return it to the window - easy)!

July 31st 2009, Back to City Hall to pick up the Marriage License. (You give this document to your Justice of the Peace or Priest etc).

Aug 9th 2009, 'Legally Married.'

Aug 17th 2009, Signed and Completed Marriage License is returned in the mail.

Aug 25th 2009, I-495 Adjustment of Status and all other documents inc Employment Authorization & Affidavit Forms are sent to Chicago via courier service. Total cost $1010.00

Aug 31st 2009, NOA's arrive for Adjustment of Status and Employment Documents.

Sept 8th 2009, Biometrics Appointment Date set for the 23rd.

Sept 23rd 2009, Biometrics Appointment in Lawrence, MA

Sept 26th 2009, NOA stating my case has been transfered to a Californian service centre.

Oct 13th 2009, Employment Authorization Document arrives.

Oct 21st 2009, Applied for a Social Security Number.

Nov 3rd 2009, PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD arrives.

Nov 6th 2009, Social Security Number arrives.

I-129F Sent : 2008-03-05

I-129F NOA1 : 2008-03-20

I-129F NOA2 : 2008-05-22

NVC Received : 2008-05-29

NVC Left : 2008-06-05

Consulate Received : 2008-06

Packet 3 Received : 2008-06

Packet 3 Sent : 2008-07

Packet 4 Received : 2008-07-16

Interview Date : 2008-08-25

August 25, 2008- Placed on A.P.

December 17, 2008- Petition Returned to USCIS for further review.

February 4, 2009- Received notice the USCIS has received returned petition.

June 4, 2009- Petition Reaffirmed by USCIS.

July 10, 2009- NVC sent Reaffirmed petition back to U.S.Embassy, New Delhi.

August 10, 2009- Embassy notified via email that they've received the Re-affirmed petition assigned with a 'new' case number as well as mailed Packet 3.

August 20, 2009- Embassy sent as an email attachment, the DS-230, Applicants Statement and Cover letter to Packet 3.

August 20, 2009- Mailed and Emailed request letter to Embassy to extend validity date of petition.

August 25, 2009 - Embassy received request to extend validity letter.

Sept 2, 2009- Embassy confirmed their receipt of the completed DS-230 and Applicants Statement.

October 29, 2009- 2nd Interview date- Visa Approved!

November 4th, 2009- Received Passport with Visa intact!

December 4th, 2009- Fiance arrived in U.S. - MARRIED Dec. 7th!

February 23rd-Mailed AOS Packet

March 3rd, 2010-Check Cashed

March 6th, 2010-Received AOS Receipt Notice

March 29th, 2010-Biometrics

Sept. 14, 2010-GC Interview -Approved!
