Hello people,

Okay, the situation is that I am married to a US citizen, my wife, resident of California. She sent out an I-130 on the 30th of June but we still haven't received the NOA1. My question over here is: How much time does it usually take for NOA to arrive?

Second, I have my H-1b petition approved by USCIS through a US employer. Now should I go for the visa to the embassy? I believe that they "require" the person, for whom an immigration petition has been filed, to be outside US and wait for the approval. Does that make significant grounds to refuse my visa at the embassy. My employer is quite anxious to get me there in a few weeks time. What do you guyz suggest?

10/27/11 RFE response received and is being reviewed - even though I didn't get any RFE or responded to one!

11/18/11 N-445 Oath letter received

12/15/11 Oath Ceremony - Its all over! I AM FINALLY A US CITIZEN!
