Hello All

What to do if you move and your fiance(e) abroad has a different address on there paper work where he/she is going to live once they arrive to the United States. Who do you call, notify about this relocation. I am talking about a moving different states relocation.

How does relocationg during the process of your fiance(e) entering the US affect the entire process?

Has anyone gone through this?

I am moving from the address we used on our paper work , what next?

Do we have to marry in the state we will live in?

Where to file for a Social security card?

Thanks!

From what I've read so far on VJ you call USCIS and you can change the address over the phone.

You don't have to marry in the state you currently live in.

Not sure if this helps.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Call the NCSC 800 number, and write to the Service Center that is processing your petition, to report the change of address so that you will receive any notices sent from the SC with regard to the petition.

How does relocationg during the process of your fiance(e) entering the US affect the entire process?

If you don't get critical notices because USCIS has sent them to the wrong address then the case can get screwed up somewhere along the line. Where along the line and how badly screwed up depending on what notice was sent that you didn't receive

Has anyone gone through this?

Yes.

You asked this already.

Do we have to marry in the state we will live in?

No.

Where to file for a Social security card?

At a Social Security Administration office.
