Your probably waiting for your FBI name background check to clear. There are some who's background check gets done quite quickly and some that have taken a loooooooonnnnngggg time. We have been waiting since last spring. We were just notified by our local Senators office that her background check had cleared but we've yet to see anything from the USCIS. If we dont' hear of anything in the next week I'm going to contact our Senators office again find out what is going on. It irritates me that these things take so long. If you interested the background check consists of the FBI sending the immigrants name to 26 different countries and the FBI has to wait till they recieve a response from EACH country before doing anything with your case. Each case is individual as each name is individual and thats why some background checks take so long. The only way the could expedite your case would be if your immigrant spouse or other half was to enter the armed services or was drafted.... .......... :hehe: just hold on yours will come thru.

The check is a fingerprint check ...... nothing else - assuming - you have no arrest record, thats what it will say.

they check with various agencies around the world - home country - if I had a scanner I would show you one.

Maybe you can scan it at work or something...that would be very interesting to see!

Carina still waiting....

Thanks to all for the guidance and support and speedy processing to all!
