I used to work Fortune 10.

So did I. Funny thing is that while I no longer work for a Fortune 10, I haven't changed my job.

Did you get outsourced out to a different company or is your employer not doing so well?

The latter.

That sucks.

Not really. There are much tighter restrictions on T&E than was the case historically. I used to travel 4-5 times a year and now it's more like 1-2 times. Don't care much for these trips anyways. Certainly not now where the administrative part to actually get a trip approved takes longer than the trip itself.

  • To be considered in poverty in Aus, a family of two has to be making under $37,033 USD.
  • To be considered in poverty in the US, a family of two has to be making under $22,050

Therefore, using Australia poverty guidelines, 40% of US working households are considered to be in poverty.

Interesting. My employer varies compensation tremendously depending on operating income.

Same here depending on what one's base / bonus composition happens to be.

AJ, this is an interesting read if you have a few minutes. Surprisingly, poverty is on the rise. I have heard over and over that there are no homeless or poor down under, that it is quite surprising to read a few of these articles I have posted.

That is fascinating. I am pretty sure though that this homelessness and poverty down under is concentrated in the non-human or sub-human populations like the Lebanese.
