my fiancee got a mail today , it's a paper thta hvae many things on it , but thier is a mark on one of them

that say the fee should be 455 and my fiancee did sent it by money oerder and it was 455 ,,,,

wht we should do

Hard to say - perhaps the amount was correct the it was made out to the wrong name... Who did it say "Pay to the order of to?"

You'll need to figure out what exactly was the problem, correct it, and respond accordingly.

Show them proof that you purchased a money order.

Otherwise check with the bank so see if it has been cashed, if not, cancel it and send another one.

There is a way to check to see if the money order was cashed - it is called 'running a tracer' on the money order - it takes time and some money order companies charge a small fee (don't ask me why). Your fiance should contact the money order company to find out.

My concern is - if there was an issue with the money order not being for the correct amount or made out to the wrong entity - they would have sent it back.

If the money order sent is missing and USCIS is asking for payment, then your fiance will definitely need to run a tracer on it - they can issue a stop payment but it can take time for that to happen. Another good reason to use a personal check for these kinds of things.

If it were my $455, I would want to find out what happened to it, as soon as possible. She must have a receipt from the money order and there is a reason for that receipt. I would contact the money order company to find out what happened to the money or to stop payment if it is lost. Otherwise, someone might cash that money and she will be out an additional $455.

If she got the money order from the post office all she has to do is go tto the post office n fill out a paper n they will let you no if it was cashed or not .

Something strange here. The FIRST thing they do is check for signatures and payment. FIRST thing. If something is amiss with those they send back the whole package INCLUDING the payment. They do not send RFEs for payments.

Your fiancee should have recieved her entire package back with the money order. If she did not something is wrong with the story.

Your fiancee is either very ignorant or she is lying to you. Possibly both, which if she is going to lie, she should inform herself first.

It is absolutely possible to verify if a money order has been cashed. People would not use them if it wasn't. It is not as easy as with a personal check, but it can be done with no problem. usually by phone and I am sure by internet now.

USCIS does NOT send letters for improper payments, they return the whoile package WITH the improper payment and tell you to correct the problem and resend it.

They would have sent it back if there was a money order. Tell you the truth. She is not being honest with you. Aks her to scan and send a copy of the money order to you (she got a copy of it when she bought it) Senindg a letter would do no good. My guess? Your fiancee has not yet filed a petition and not yet paid for anything. She doesn't want to tell you so makes up a story about how the government messed up her money order but didn't check her facts first. They return improper payment without asking.

There is a toll free number on your MO stub and a website. Again, if there is a problem with the payment, not correct amount, not signed, etc. they RETURN the entire package to you including payment. You get this along with a rejection notice, NOT an RFE. If you have not received your entire package back, it is safe to assuemt your payment was correct. But you can check the WU webiste and YES it is absolutely possible to track ANY money order and even get the account number of the bank it was deposited in.
