Wow this a a very unique story regarding a filipina who acts as if a plate of food is as natural around the world as water. You said this has been going on for 4 years and still no progress well maybe you are not communicating well enough with her to get to the point, but seriously this is strange that a filipina would throw food away so casually as you say your wife does knowing the poverty problem in her native country. It could be a sign she is trying to reach you and you both are just missing each other gestures.

I am surprised too. My girl is completely the opposite. Almost thrifty to a fault. The other day she wanted me to get a thermos to put the extra boiled water in from my tea so I would not have to boil more later for a second cup. She is not here with me yet in the US, but she is definitely not a consumer. She has taught me a lot about my own wastefulness by example. I am sure that will continue when she gets here too
