A long while back, someone sent me a template of an invitation letter to send to my MIL to help in getting her a visitors visa to come visit us here. I have since lost that letter and would like to get it again. I don't remember who it was that I got it from...Sara? JP? anyway...Do any of you have a template I might be able to use? I just wanna do it right so they don't see any reason to deny her (based on the invitation letter) :) I'm rotten at that kind of stuff.

Thanks in advance,

Amal

plz don't reply in VJ...if you would like to email me or PM me in FB, that would be great :)

Amal, I dont know about Jordan but for Morocco a letter of invitation is not actually required, so ours was not particularly formal - we just wanted to have something for her to take to the interview that verified our names and information.

What did she take to the interview? How strong is her proof that she has enough reason to return to Morocco? My SIL is doing this for her mother. They did it once before, and she was denied. I guess she didn't take anything with her to the interview. My SIL is pregnant again, and needs to have someone there to help her with her other child because she will be having a C section. I want to make sure she doesn't get denied again.

My MIL owns her house and she has a bank account thats been opened a long time. I beleive she also made sure to mention how many siblings, children and grandchildren she has there in Morocco. My guess is that it also helped that she has been back and forth to France several times to visit Adnan's sister and kids - so it was obvious that she has a pattern of leaving the country and returning. On the whole, though, I think her interview itself only lasted about 5 minutes and she got the 10 year multiple entry visa. In fact, we are trying to get her out here again in January :)

We never sent a letter only put tons of information on the application my MIL, SIL and BIL filled out....the application asks them specfic questions.

They did take copies of our passports, pictures of all of us together over the years and my taxes and his job info so they could see we could handle the expenses while they came to visit. All of them were able to obtain 5 yr visas. My MIL does not have a bank account however, she does have a home and two young adults unmarried (two boys) still at home plus a grandson there too.

They did ask if my hubby had a job and what I did for a living. I believe testing them to see how close we were, etc.

Jenn,

At the embassy the man interviewing my SIL and BIL actually told them to put down 2-3 months no more. It's like a red flag to them for rejection if they see 5-6 months etc even if that is their intention. He actually asked them to re-do the application and then approved them right after they were done.

We purchased their tickets after.
