I got mine at the door as the post lady said she couldn't fit it in my mailbox. I have one of those mailboxes where I have to go and get it with a key a few houses down. She rang at the door.

if you got the signature required sticker they are SUPPOSE to deliver it to your door, however most people have said it was just left in their mail box.

I don't recall how much extra the signature required option was, but regardless, if they don't ring my door and wait for someone to come out and get it, they'll be hearing from me.

I agree. It only cost me 1.28, but my passport is in that thing, and I paid to have someone sign for it.

I have bought an Express post envelopp with the sticker to request a signature and I have paid $15.37 if I remember well...

the CO told me I should get my passport Friday or Monday...even it`s Thanksgiving!

We will see Post Canada didn`t impress me that much...because I didn`t receive the 1st packet 3 and I received in May 09, the registration paper for my horse (from Texas) that have been mailed in August 2008!!!!!!!!!

The American Thanksgiving shouldn't affect our Post at all.

But Canada Post definitely doesn't impress me at all. I prefer Purolator most of the time, simply because if no one's at home, the woman who does our route will actually bring it to work for me. Helps knowing the ones driving, haha.

Chances are the envelope will just get shoved in your mailbox.

All of here have had that even tho we required a signature. I think there's some sort of clause that it's up to the mail carrier, and if they deem it to be a safe place, they will just leave it.

I know that Thanksgiving doesn`t affect Post Canada but the Consulate is closed I think today ...anyway the CO said to us yesterday, you should get it by Friday after he said hummm maybe more Monday because it`s Thanksgiving tomorrow...so I figured out that they were closed!

Ah yes, the consulate itself would be closed. I didn't realize you were just approved yesterday, thought you were along with the rest of us on the 20th... so I thought you meant from a mailing standpoint.
