Hi there,

My husband and I went to the SS office to get my ssn on 3rd September, we were told it may take up to 4weeks but we didnt get anything after 4weeks, then my husband called them, they said my ssn was approved so you must get it in 2weeks. But we didnt receive anything again.

So we had to end up coming to office to ask whats going on, they said my ssn is deleted! Because I did write wrong of my birth year on my I-94, It should be 1980 but I did write 1981 ( I dont know why!! I just noticed!) Also, The ss office lady who thoughput didnt notice about it when I applied first time. I did waste time and still no health insrance :crying:

And they mentioned about my I-94 already exepired so I should apply again when I got a GC... I dont know how does it takes to get GC,,

I've been worring the I-94 is also important for my GC? I havent received REF from USCIS so far tho... I should wait until I get a GC??

You must have misunderstood what they said, since SSNs normally are not deleted once assigned. If you were assigned a number and your I-94 has expired, you cannot be issued an work authorized replacement SSN card until you have proof of employment authorization. You don't have to wait for your Form I-551 (Green Card) to apply. If you are issued an EAD card (Form I-766), you can go apply.
