I am curious how long it should take before we receive the interview.

We have filed DCF with London Embassy. Sent the DS-2001 checklist on Oct 20th and it was received. We did medical on Nov 2nd. Just waiting on receiving an interview date. We didn't receive any confirmation that they received DS-2001 other than Royal Mail tracking.

We sent our DS-230 and the checklist in seperately so I don't know if that had any effect on how long it took to get our interview date back. In any case I sent DS-230 Sept 7th and mailed the checklist Oct 12th (medical was Oct 5th) We got our interview letter through Nov 6th.

Thanks, makes me feel a bit better. I am only a bit worried as I am actually moving back state side in a couple weeks. I would have like to have accompanied my wife for the interview but looks like that won't happen. I'll keep you updated on when/if I get my interview date too.

Hey - that's the best news ever !!!

Perhaps to celebrate, you'd take a stab at filling out yer timeline? Helps the ppl coming up behind you, and anyone who might be able to help you with answers to questions.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hi!! I just read your little note at the bottom of your posting about living in the states, then returning to England now going back and doing the whole visa thing again! Thought I was the only one crazy enough to do that!! I haven't sent off anything yet! Just been reading all about it. I thought my greencard was valid till 2014 but have obviously learned otherwise now we are looking to go back! So we too have to do the whole thing again. Am so baffled by it all, you'd think I hadn't done it all before!!? I've printed off a zillion forms and Hubby and I have promised ourselves to go through it all this weekend to re-start the process. Can't believe we are going through this again!! Wish there was an easier way  oh well, just gotta do it I guess, keep me updated on your progress!

:o)
