Hey everyone!

I'm getting back on VJ after months away to help me prepare to ROC.

I'm getting together everything to send out my husband's ROC paperwork and realized that I'm not too stressed over it all this time around. We first did K1 then AOS and now this seems like less of a deal. Should I not be so relaxed?

I have compiled proof of marriage and am going to print out pictures, make some copies, and I'm waiting on 1-2 affidavits and then we can send out everything in a week.

Our 90-day window opened up in October so I made myself a deadline to send it out (11/23) so I wouldn't put this off too late.

My main question is if our proof should be from recently or if we should look for bills, rent receipts, etc. from 2007 and 2008? Not much has changed for us since AOS except that we moved and that's mostly what I have (proof of residence and the new utilities bills).

Thanks in advance,

Meredith

We submitted notarized affidavits from friends and family because we didn't have too many bills in joint names. About the only bills we had in both names were the electric, phone bills and one checking account. We submitted the current bills we had.

Good luck

Hi Bora bora heres what I sent last June 19, 2009 and I got the approval last Sept 8, I received my 10 yrs GC unfornately I have to send it back w/ the Form I-90 because of USCIS adminitrative error( my GC is in maiden name my 1st green card is in my married name). if you have something like these you will be fine! They said affidavit from friends is not required but if you have no enough evidence it helps!

The good news is I got the replacement of my 10 yr GC last Saturday Nov 14,2009

Good Luck!

Thanks guys!!

I've created a pile of proof and will possibly add my lease from my last apartment to show something from the past since all of our bills are to this address.

Most of our bills are in either one of our names so I'll send the AT&T bill that says Family Plan - and stuff like that.

I'm waiting on one more letter and need to print out some pictures, then I can mail it out next week. Yea...I wanna get this sh** over with :).

There was a couple here who went to their ROC interview and was asked whether they lived together in their old home... they also moved. If both your names were on the old lease, might as well add it.
