No, thats what you guys would have said about Bush.

Now come on Joe your VJ pesos were screaming "impeach Obama" before he got in office, so you can't play that card here (it's a joker).

But Obama's goal is to diminish the US abroad.

You're such a tool, Joe. If that were his his goal, he'd be failing. The view of the US abroad has greatly improved since Obama took office.

With a total of 26,000 respondents worldwide, the poll found the biggest boost in U.S. favorability ratings in Europe. In France, for instance, 75 percent view the United States favorably compared to 42 percent a year ago. Double-digit gains were also recorded in Mexico, Brazil, India, and China.

Yeah its called the world leaders laughing at Obama. Their leaders free to do what they wish. Russia, Iran, NKorea, the list goes on.

Medvedev and Putin laugh at him as the joke he is. Castro and Chavez love him, i'll give you that.

Joe, you and yours - fortunately a dying breed - represent the America that the world resents. For the record, Cuba and Venezuela weren't even part of the survey. But, hey, facts never bother you any.

In related news President Obama ripped one in church on Sunday. Right wing pundits immediately claimed that Obama's cutting the cheese was an act of blasphemy.

The pastor was heard to exclaim, "Damn! Put a cork in that, son!"

It might be helpful if someone posted exactly what the bow means in Japan?

If it is a sign of respect...whats the big deal.

If it is a sign of subservience .....I would think it was odd and a mistake.

I'm all for honoring peoples traditions when in their country and with Obama making a few blunders on international policy... this is meaningless really.

Its a thing about being intolerant, Danno. Dammed if he do... dammed if he don't.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Quite right.

I have no doubt that Obama, or any US President, would remove his shoes before entering a Muslim mosque.

Or that he would don a head covering (kippah) when entering a Jewish synagogue or cemetery or Yad Vashem.

Or that he would REMOVE a head covering when entering a house of worship in a faith that demands that.

My understanding is that a Thai "wai" or other ceremonial bowing in Buddhist societies is expected practice and does not diminish the person doing so.
