Hi guys!

Im so excited because today is the day i waited all these years!

To be sure im doing everything right i would like to ask couple of questions!

1. Im resident since 2.15.2005. Today will be 5 years minus 90 days! Im i correct?

2. Question on N400 says : where you have lived last 5 years? I lived only at one adress in US! Thats easy! But are those 5 years from TODAY or from 2.15.2010 when my 5 years will actually count? If it is from today then i have to write my address where i lived prior to come to US (3 months) ? That will be a problem!

3. Where and how to send application? I live in AZ and i see two different adresses : PO box and for express deliveries Sky Harbor adress! Im confused! Can i use fedex? If yes, what adress to use? Or what you recommend ?

Thank you in advance

Today is 3 months prior to 2/15/10. November 17 will be 90 days before 2/15/10. The 17th is the date you want to follow.

You are completing the form today, not in the future. List all addresses in the last 5 years. If you have forgotten the address prior to your US address then get someone to help you with it. Wouldn't it be on some older documents?

FedEx/UPS cannot deliver to a PO box. So use the express delivery street address if using those services. The USPS express mail can deliver to PO boxes.

Hi Mario777,

In answer to your questions:

1) In your case:

The earliest you can file for US Citizenship is 5 years minus 90 days (Note: 90 days, not 3 months before)

from the "residence since" date on your green card of 02/15/05 (as mentioned on your vj post that this is the date):

Tuesday, November 17, 2009, or anytime after that.....

According to this time/date calculator: http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadded....p;ad=90&aw=

Do not send your application prior to the 90 days before the 5 years date, as it will be rejected if sent before then.

2) For dates of the last 5 years, yes, list all of those. List the addresses that you have lived in, from the date of your application (if you are filing on Nov 17, then it will be up until that date), regardless of which location and/or country you have lived in. For example, I applied based on 3yrs marriage, but also listed my US and Canadian addresses where I have lived in for the past 5 years, as indicated on the form. And as long as you are truthful there about where you lived/live now and do not break any continuous residency rules, there should be no problems...

3) You send you application to the following address....

Where to File :

If you currently reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Guam or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, send your application to the USCIS Lockbox Facility at:

(note: lockbox: usps, usps priority....things that do no require a signature...)

USCIS

P.O. Box 21251

Phoenix, AZ 85036

For express/courier deliveries, use:

(note: express/courier: fedex, ups, dhl, etc....things that do require a signature)

USCIS

Attn: N-400

1820 E Skyharbor Circle S, Floor 1

Phoenix, AZ 85034

I sent my application via USPS priority mail, with delivery confirmation and no signature, to the Texas lockbox (since I live in New York State) as this was the least expensive way to send such (only $5.50 or so), and I can check online to make sure that it got there (which it did arrive there 3 days later).

Hope this helps. Good luck with the rest of your citizenship journey too.

Ant

oh and i forgot one thing!

What if my interview is sheduled in less then 3 months from now? If that is case then i will not have 5 years of residency here in US at the time of interview!

Is this even possible? What to do in case like that?
