Hi guys.. I applied for my husband in India (new delhi embassy). i went with him for his interview everything went well, the only problem we had was my husbands fingure prints.. Due to winters my husband hands were dry n peeled so his fingure prints were not coming.. The lady was really nice, she told us that all our papers are in order and we would have to come back any day after his hand condition improves so they can take his fingure prints. She said she could not issue us a visa till his fingure prints were ok.. I am wondering the next time when we come , will they interview us again or just will take his fingure prints and give him the visa ?

Ok, your visa wasn't refused, it way maybe just delayed. Make sure he's using LOTS of hand cream so the fingerprints will be ok next time.

No telling if they will interview you both again.

Good luck.

Yes, I have my interview coming up and me and my fiancee were reading about the fingerprints and the info that the embassy sent us. It said basically if that you have any cuts to your fingers that you would have to come back to do the fingerprints. I then joked to my fiancee that she should where leather work gloves until the interview.

You haven't been denied, they just need his normal fingerprints.

I suggest lots of lotion and if he can keep his hands wrapped in some kind of petrolatum jelly at night this will help him heal faster. Try to avoid excessive hand washing or use a soap that doesn't cut grease as much.

Congrats on your interview! Besides a minor road bump, sounds like everything else went smooth.

Best of luck! keep us posted on what happens.
