Okay I'm gonna propose in Dec and we want to file for a Visa as soon as possible.

1. Get engaged

2. File for Visa following the K1 visa guide on this site. This will cost me about 450 dollars right?

3. Get the 1st NOA a week or so later

4. Wait

5. Second NOA (like 4-5 months later right)

6. What does my fiance in Japan have to do then?

7. Get medical check for her..(about 300 bucks?)

8. Get an interview for her

9. If she passes the interview, she can come a get married asap right?

10. Get married

11. File for AOS...or file for something so she can work here? How much will that cost?

12. Green card...how much?

Sorry...I'm new, young, poor, and confused...so I'm trying to figure everything out and set up a budget.

As suggested in your other thread: READ THE GUIDES here on VJ.

Here is a link with fee information: http://www.venusvisa.us/en/Fees/GovernmentFees.aspx The medical fee would probably be different in Japan.

In addition to the petition fee, you need to pay $131 for the interview and $1010 for AOS (=GC).

I know you are confused and probably overwhelmed, but read the VJ guidelines and instruction of K-1 forms carefully.

It will give you better understanding of what to do.
