Well its a shame that the terrorists that flew into the buildings, pentagon and ground didnt care to think about how the ripple affect would hurt muslims worldwide. Neither did Hasan think about how his brother and sister muslims would be affected for what he did. Those guys and like OTHER people that murder innocent lives carelessly dont think about how it affects other groups of people at all. I care primarily to not loose sight on the ones that tragedy hit. Us who are alive and have no bullet holes thru us and no memories of seeing co workers falling to the ground or a building crush on them... I think the rest of us handling criticism or insults will Be OK in life.

The Muslims who flew planes into buildings and who kill in the name of jihad do think about how it affects other Muslims. In their twisted theology, they believe that true Muslims want what they want and are directed by God to destroy to get it. They see Muslims who disagree with them to be the same as infidels, therefore, not truly Muslim. Since non-Muslims are targets, and Muslims who disagree with their methods and interpretations of the texts are also targets, how their acts affect them are of no concern.

So, we have violent, twisted Muslims against us, and ignorant, hateful non-Muslims against us. And, to add insult to injury, we are expected to explain to those who demand answers why people who we don't know or understand do what they do, as if we know why.

So around and around we go. Let me ask this...what goes through the mind of a moderate Muslim, who thinks the world will submit to allah in the future, when they see a predominately Judeo-Christian nation going to great lengths to tolerate Islam now?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

By "great lenghts" do you mean the right I have as an American to practice the religion of my choice? Tolerate Islam? what is tolerate by that do you mean that as a Muslim I should not be discriminated upon since it is my basic right to choose how I worship? what "Judeo-Christian " nation are you talking about? you mean the nation mentioned here by the treaty signed here ... in the Treaty of Tripoli... in 1797???

Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

or this one:

The wording in the five most important founding documents of the United States: the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Northwest Ordinance, Federalist Papers, and the Constitution of the United States, none of which state that this is a Christian Nation;

Truth of Palestine

take time to watch , give yourself time to understand. Then make your conclusions.

I guess I don't understand your question. I like America, I think Americans are good people, and I think most people value the religious freedom we have and respect it. What do you mean "who thinks the world will submit to allah in the future?" I don't believe that every person will accept Islam, but I do believe, like those in a lot of faiths, that everyone will have to answer to God someday. And?

And I would also appreciate if you could define "going to great lengths to tolerate Islam?" What does that mean? Are you talking about institutionally or personally?

Institutionally, one of the most basic laws of America is that people are free to practice whatever religion they want to practice. So....... are you saying that, as a country, it's really difficult to put up with Islam, since most of us are Christians....? I tend to think Islam is not the first nor the last test of that founding principle which we all value so much. What does the government have to do extra special for Muslims? Not allow discrimination in housing and employment? Address hate crimes? Ouch, that's controversial.

And personally, I'm not asking for anyone to "tolerate me." What is it about me that you need to tolerate? Lol, I mean, really, how charming it is to tell someone you "tolerate" them. It's sounds like we're really putting you out, what with our wearing an extra article of clothing, our praying in our houses.... etc

I'm American, I was born here, my parents were born here, their parents were born here, etc etc etc (not that immigrants are invalid Americans, I'm just saying, nobody "let" me live here), and I choose to follow a religion which you find distasteful. And?

I don't want to hurt you or take anything away from you. So how exactly is it that I'm asking you to "tolerate" me? All I want is to not be punished or hurt for my beliefs. Is that a horrible, outrageous request?

I think most people could care less how I live my life, but I think a lot don't want to see me in their public places, a minority treat me badly, a smaller minority is willing to harm me. And all of those anti-social behaviors are given a cover by websites, groups, and people who ask Muslims to justify everything about their beliefs and history to their liking. Here's the thing, I don't think any explanation, any condemnation, any groveling is going to satisfy you or the type of person you represent. So what is it that you want from me? :blink:

Incidentally, I just came across a video of a Christian wearing hijab as an experiment: "I am living in a small town in America and have worn Hijab for three days. I have been judged and treated poorly already, people treat me as if I have a disease"
