language question

During my husband's petition interview, the man asked him if he would prefer french, arabic, or english. Kamel told him english as we thought this would make him look better. However my husband's english is not perfect. Although he did good and I was proud of him, there were still some things he did not understand. If the man asks which language for the visa interview...is it ok to chose his native language or would that hurt his chances for approval? He gets so nervous which also makes his english more shakey. (he gets nervous about having to speak in english about something so important) :help:

Absolutely no problem with his native language.

The consulate officer who interviewed me didn't even ask if I prefer English or Japanese.

He went on and on all in Japanese until he realized I speak English.

ohhhh I am so relieved to hear this!! Someone who just recently went through the process was telling my husband he has to speak english very very well etc...but this is also a person who always tries to make himself better than my husband so I just wasn't sure. I am so glad I asked! And I am so thankful for this site and all it's members! It has helped us so much! I was so happy that i knew everything to prepare ahead of time so that when we received the packet 3 we were ready to send it back immedietly! I have a good feeling about this!
