Well anyone contacting a US Senator would have to identify a problem. So far I havent seen any problem except for the OP saying that he expects his Senator to pretend to care. I have never heard of this being a problem that needs the help of a US Senator to resolve....and frankly....he doesnt care!!!

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

good..I am glad that I was able to help you resolve your non-problem that that the US Senator was unable to resolve since there does not appear to be a problem.

Out of curiousosity...what is the problem that everyone seems to be experiencing aside from the new Marriage broker problem.

I'll chime in here and support some of what desertfox is trying to say.... It's hard to drum up sympathy for someone who is completely and entirely within the normal processing window... especially since so many others are FAR outside of it.... months and months of no touches or anything.

I am at 84 days now... I thought of calling my Senator a few times but what would I hear that's any different than what others are hearing? I choose to remain optimistic and only whine when I need to in pm(s) to a chosen few. I have a lot of 'personal stuff' going on in my life which is diverting what used to be 24/7 attention to this.... life goes on outside of this immigration process.

Jen

edited to add: I completely agree with the frustration over the apparent inequality between VSC and CSC processing windows, but that inequality existed even pre-IMBRA...

I feel ya Jen .. I don't want to be taken care of before people that submitted before me.. I want everything done in order and in a timely manner.. I know I didn't submit back in march and feb .. and well hey I will do my time like the rest .. I am all for process but there is a lack of process here and this is what I was trying to address with my senator.. I was not very willing to divulge this after my first post because of the negativity.. I am sorry I feed off of negativity and turn into an a$$ .. I admit that.. sorry if I was being one.. thats just my mentality.. so what it all comes down to .. uscis wont answer why they screwed up .. I figured a senator was my next step .. they wont answer why uscis screwed up .. so now I find out the next person. Hell you know who needs to get their problems resolved? the recalled petitions.. those people need to get their issues taken care of, that is absurd

Personally I think DesertFox is a jackass. HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A FULL TIMELINE. Thanks for your support DesertFox filling out your timeline. Do I have a problem since I'm 120 days into my reciept of documents by the USCIS? Or is it ok with you DesertFox that I pay taxes for these benefits and I should wait so long to recieve them. Would you be upset if you paid for a taxi ride ahead of time but he kept calling you and telling you to wait he'll be right there? Get over yourself dude.

16/10/2006- Interview date- I'm nervous and my fiance is cool calm and collective. And she's the one that has to do the interview.

Sorry guys ..... but at this point I would love to have any of your problems.

You see, in the country where my fiance lives (Dominican Republic) there are nearly 27,000 people waiting for visa interviews. Our expected wait, once the petition even reaches the Embassy, is two years. Try getting your senator to resolve that one!!

I would much rather wait 6 months for a NOA2, and have a final visa approval from the Embassy within 1-4 months, as most of you will. Please, I beg of any of you, ..... trade places with me!! ;)

6/29 - NEW I-129 mailed to CSC

7/21 - NOA1 issued

9/21 - finally ... my first touch!!

9/21 - NOA2 issued

haha...my friend....from Russia you are going to have a longer wait....just the way it is. My timeline...cant be bothered...I had no problems with any of it....just a RFE where they lost my birth certificate. Im not here to support every case that comes along...many are fraudulent. If you dont understand the world of reality of visas...then cry all you want. Some countries are easy...others are not. Your country wil not be easy cuz Im sure that a marriage broker was involved.

I know what you mean. And as optimistic as I try to be, I'm not SO optimistic as to think that a few of us randomly calling our Senators is going to make one bit of difference whatsoever. You'll just wind up getting more frustrated, as this day has become for you....

I don't mean to dismiss the 'power of the people', but I feel just as helpless as the rest of you. I've never been big into politics, so I'm not one to take charge when it comes to stuff like this, but if someone can show me that there's a real difference that can be made by organized effort, then I'll gladly jump on the bandwagon. I have too many other directions that my life is pulling me in to choose to dedicate my life to making a difference in here. Call me jaded, but that's how I feel right now.

As far as the name calling is concerned, it's unecessary.

First of all you would have to identify a problem...which you dont have.

Been thru the K1 process...been there ..done that. I had no reason to contact my Senator nor would I expect him to have done something as I was within the time frames detailed on their website.

So I guess everyone should contact their US Senators with the problems that they have and cannot articulate....oh well....

Desertfox....

First of all....yippee, you been through the process. I guess since you are already through the process BEFORE this mess, you have no idea what we are going through..maybe you just like to confrontation? Who knows.

Next of all, anyone has a right to contact their elected representatives. Thats what they are there for..to 'represent'. I understand that some of the individuals are not in a situation that proves they are 'outside normal processing' but, many of us are. The fact that VSC has approved apps in under 60 days would allow one to question 'why is someone who submitted their app after me being approved before me'. Also, any inquiries at this point can only help bring light to the fact that there is an issue. Any information that anyone can get at this point to give us an idea what is going on is greatly appreciated.

We are here to support each other...and to inform each other. Collectively we have many more resources to use and by sharing at least can help eliminate part of the feeling we are in the dark. I say we all learn what we can, from any inquiry we can, and share it...If enough inquiries are made, maybe things will improve.

OK...Ill let up on you guys...sorry

I just dont give blind support to every case that comes along...and going to include you in my prayers.

As far a IMBRA is concerned....yeah...I understand...you got caught up in it. The USCIS should have been better prepared to implement the requirements. But its the law which I support 100%. Just fill ot the new I-129F and answer NO NO NO. But if you are a convicted wife beater, a stalker, a registered sex offender, then I think that your SO has every right to know. If this causes you problems...then Im all for it.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.
