Well apparently Wayne Allard does not need anymore votes because his office sure doesn't care about me.. but here is what they said.

I first asked if they would look into my status.. They told me, no if 6 more months pass without a NOA2 they will check into it

I mentioned approvals from Vermont, they told me.. There is no such thing.. no one is being approved, I am misinformed. Then quickly said.. ohh you are in colorado so you go to California and they are extremely behind.

They said.. well first you need to repond to the RFE.. I said .. well if you looked into my status you would have known it was returned to USCIS..

Either way apparently we all need to wait 6 more months before it is considered out of hand, or before help will be given.. (for us Coloradans)..

That is out of control!

The problem is that we don't have a large enough collective voice nor do we have any political strength to force the issue. We may all need to make formal complaints in hopes to make a change, but that takes what none of us want... more time. Stay strong and know that you are not alone in this process.

A special thanks VJ for giving us this outlet...

What did you expect this senator to do?? You only submitted your petition in May. You dont have a current status?? What was the problem in the first place??

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

I know what uscis says my status is but my question I guess was considered not an issue for them.

What was the problem in the first place??

Thanks for the non-answers. Your petition seems to be following the normal course. You dont seem to have any problems now that need to be addressed. So....what did you expect from your Senator???....he cannot get it approved for you. He can only track down current status if there is some kind of problem. You have no problem.

So....what did you expect from your Senator???....

Like I said to pretend to care. I do have problems.. many people have problems. I guess I assumed that senators do more then read off the internet what our status is .. or at least try .. I tried.. I found that you are right they don't do anything except look at the same status we do .. My fault for believing elected officials actually care about issues.

Once again....what did you expect him to do???

You have a status...it is current...you are well within the standard processing time.....so what did you expect??...to tell you what you already know??

It is only appropriate to contact him...if your dates are 30 days outside the standard processing time..and you cannot get a current status from the USCIS. US Senators do not process immigration documents. So I have no idea what you expected....thought you were going to receive the exact date when it was going to be approved???

what did you expect him to do???

Pretend to care.. I thought I answered this already..

Straight from my Senators website

"While I cannot ask the agency to do anything they are not able to do under law or regulations, I can make sure all your rights are respected and that errors in procedure are corrected. "

I don't expect my Senator to say APPROVE HIM NOW! or for him to Approve me .. Oops guess I shouldn't of sent my petition directly to his office.. DOH!

We are experiencing a huge problem with USCIS .. yes most people are within normal time frames right now .. but this isn't your normal business as usual time.. so I asked for help regarding the current situation.. And I found that it doesn't work .. so you happy now?

VARTAN...

I suggest that you cease and decise entertaining desert_fox. S/He is so removed from this stage of the game that it really doesn't matter. I know how you feel because I want my fiancée here with me too.

Everyone wants their fiancee with them ASAP. A US Senator can do nothing to expedite this. If you are within the processing guidelines cited on the USCIS site...then you have no PROBLEM. You will only have a problem if your petition goes more than 30 days beyond the normal processing time that they cite...and you cannot receive current information. That woud be the time to contact a US Senator.

I have no idea what you ppl expect...tell you what you already know???

Read up on the current situations regarding K visas and check out the timelines of people.. and the answers given .. that is where your answer lies .. I would explain it but it would take too long for me to cite everything and I think it would be better for you to find the answer without my help .. cause I don't answer questions ::lol:: . sorry couldn't help myself.. the thing I am trying to do .. and many others want to do .. is catch a problem ... before it is a serious problem..

First of all you would have to identify a problem...which you dont have.

Been thru the K1 process...been there ..done that. I had no reason to contact my Senator nor would I expect him to have done something as I was within the time frames detailed on their website.

So I guess everyone should contact their US Senators with the problems that they have and cannot articulate....oh well....

I'm in Colorado too. Sen. Allards office was the first to respond to me after I contacted his office, I also had contacted Salazar's office and Tancredo's office around the same time. All they can basically do is make a congressional inquiry on your behalf. Did you ask them to make an inquiry on your behalf? If not call back and request that they do that and don't take no for an answer. Did you talk to Evania Archuleta? If not call his Englewood office and ask for her. I faxed her my letter and she started the inquiry soon after.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

I would think that the problem would be that VSC has handed out numerous approvals. The other service centers have not even touched! there USC petitions. There are lost petitions from the transfer from one service center to the next. Petitions are getting approved that have been mailed in months after the recalled petitions. The USCIS can offer no explination as to where these petitions are, when the backlog will get moving, or anything. That's just a small bit of the problem that I see. I didn't spend too much time trying to build a case for a problem, but I never do build a solid case for myself. I think people just need to vent a little. I said in a previous post that people aren't searching for answers, but for what they want to hear.
