Hello,

So I turned in paperwork for my fiance visa this past Monday. I checked my bank account this morning and noticed they cashed my check TODAY!

So is this good news? Am I jumping ahead of myself too much!?

Ok, although I still have alot of waiting to do, what do you guys (my VJ family) recommend I should be doing in the meantime?

If they cashed the payment this is a good sign! It means they are starting to work on your files.

Right now you should look at what your SO will need for their interview, some things can take a while to get ahold of, and you should collect together what you need for the I-134 so you can send it when your SO is ready for it. Other then that try to keep busy while you are waiting!

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Congratulations on getting this far—but don't get too excited just yet. USCIS considers the target processing time for I-129F petitions to be 5 months. While it often doesn't take that long, it's not considered to be "overdue" until 5 months have passed.

What you can do now: view the cashed check on your bank's website when the image becomes available, and find the number that starts with WAC. It's usually on the back of the check, but recently some have been printed on the front. This is your I-129F receipt number. You can use it to check your case status on the USCIS website and register for email/SMS status updates.

Another great thing to do: :time: - http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/intro.php - This will allow you to get estimates from VJ on the actual processing time to expect based on other users' timelines, and will in turn help VJ to give more accurate estimates to you and everyone else.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

It means you signed the I-129f, the G-325a and the check, and you now have $455 less in your account. Since that was the intent, it is not a bad thing. Read the guides and forums and start gathering all the couments you need for the interview. You gotta do something, might as well do that
