I havent been waiting for interview as long as some of the other people on this forum but I am very optimistic that December will be a lucky month for CR1 interview scheduling. I want to see LOTS of interviews scheduled so we can move to the front of the interview wait line :) Good Luck Everyone!!!

December would be stupendous!

Greenhaus had been waiting the longest of anyone here though, so they MAY have just made a point of squeezing him in.

Or maybe it's the beginning of a mass scheduling. B)

I say "beginning of mass scheduling"!!! We need more updates...I like this excitement on VJ but we are needy people and we need more good news for holiday season so keep it coming Montreal :)

I just prefer to be optimistic than cynical. Who knows. I may in fact get my interview in MARCH...but unless / until that happens, I'm just going to be happy at any prospect at it happening in December or January.

My motto, "Hope for the best BUT be prepared for the worst"

It's a good mindset to have!

I'm tempted to start calling NVC on a regular basis again to see where they're at in terms of scheduling. Part of me knows that they won't have a specific answer, but I'm tempted nonetheless. Greenhaus found out about his interview before he got the email, simply because he called and talked to an NVC agent. Hmm...

Did you call NVC?

No, today's been pretty harried...I just moved to my parents' place on a temporary basis yesterday, but had to go back to my old apartment and do some cleaning etc.

I'll give NVC a call tomorrow and see where they're at.

Ha!!! This made me laugh...

I feel like when I talk to anyone at NVC the disappointment oozes off my voice and coats them....

I don't want to call yet either, not until I hear of at least another person getting a date...

Then maybe I'll try...

:D

I called today regarding an interview and they were like, we have no idea.

I was like *hangs up*

Yeah. I just wish another US Consulate would start giving out CR/IR Visa's. That'd be so nice.

God. Tell me about it. $700 ticket from Vancouver to Montreal, then $100 for a hotel and at least $30 for poutine dinner, breakfast and lunch... Yeah, not pleasant. That was a VERY depressing day when I learned (on VJ) that CR-1s were ONLY done out of Montreal. All of my friends and family still say "That's nuts!"

I've accepted the fact for quite awhile now...so it only bugs me in a distant kinda way. I'm probably too good at accepting things. I mean, when I have cause, I can be as vociferous and passionate as anyone alive...but in most cases, I'm content to accept the things I know I cannot change. Whether that makes me wise or just a pansy...I'm not sure.
