Don't know, what time are you calling to find out?

I called on Friday, but got someone with a thick accent who was reading off the script. That's seriously unhelpful! I've had really good NVC agents, and really bad ones. Friday's was the worst. Sometimes you get an agent that has NO response to anything you ask. You might as well be talking to the AVR.

The trend of interviews at the very beginning of February really bodes well though. I have a hunch that they're going to fill the calendar. :)

Limited processing ability? THEN OPEN UP ANOTHER CONSULATE.

This is a whole lot like walking into a bank and lining up with 18 people and having one bank teller assisting....back before the on line stuff. I can't imagine that every consulate in Canada is backlogged and given how many there are, and that only Montreal processes immigrant visas, it would be prudent to have other consulates service applicants by processing CR 1s. Maybe there's a really good reason for this lack of service....or maybe there isn't.

Either way it's hurry up and wait. Mind you, I'm wading into this and am only at the NOA1 approval stage hahaha but I'm always way ahead of myself...but that's just how I roll...

I freaking hope so!! With Woking being closed during the olympics...there are only 4 available dates to have a Medical if i get a Feb date...and you guessed it....cannot book a medical UNTIL you have an Interview date....................................

Honestly, it looks like Montreal is getting back up to speed. Looks like they're fully staffed again! It might be too early to say this definitively, but you may be lucky and only have to wait six or eight weeks for an interview after the NVC stage. :)
