Well, take it for what it's worth, but I just talked to NVC, and the agent there (this one was friendly...I even remember his name: Max) said that they are still scheduling for January in Montreal and to check back again later tonight or tomorrow.

So I'll call again tomorrow!

Don't worry. If I don't get a January date I won't get dejected...and you can rest assured that I'll just be a cheerleader for February dates for us CR-1ers.

And no, I don't feel emasculated AT ALL for being a VJ cheerleader. Rah Rah Rah! :dance:

I try to avoid it, because some of the agents sound pretty disinterested... But I've had a few agents (like today's) that seem upbeat and positive.

I've prepared myself mentally for February or March...but I still keep my hopes up for a scheduling blitz. :)

Okay! So it has been about three weeks since anyone has posted on this thread, and since I'm feeling like a bit of a cheerleader right now (rowr?), how about a little bit of optimism.

So it's the first business day of the New Year, and it has been awhile since we've heard about anyone getting an interview assigned. As such, we can expect to hear about some this week. I'm also guessing that since there is an ever-increasing backlog, judging by Trailmix's thread, they might want to start the New Year by doing a clean sweep and bulk scheduling many of the outstanding folks. I might be wrong. Indeed, I was wrong with the suppositions that started this very thread...BUT...well, I still think my line of reasoning was logical then, just as I think my line of reasoning is logical NOW.

So for those of us waiting for a CR-1 interview at Montreal, let's get our hopes up. You know you want to...and you know it feels good!

Ha! You should see the pic I had taken for my eventual Green Card -- I used it as my Facebook picture for awhile, and I got a LOT of responses from people (including Peachey!) telling me how creepy I look in it. THAT would be a great pic on a cheerleader .gif... :P
