The lesson is chimps don't make good pets especially when they get older and can rip your face off.

I feel sorry for that poor woman. However, I believe in "respecting" all animals. Chimps are NOT pets! The chimp did what a chimp does...I am not surprised by the chimps actions, I am surprised that she lived. She is blessed.

Is that what the chimp was? She was keeping him as a pet? If so, man... I just don't get that at all. People who keep animals like that as pets. I'm talking to you, Siegfried & Roy... it's just not right. Not right at all. I mean sometimes I even have little moments where I think man, my cat could freak out on me... but the thing is, she ways 11lbs... I'd probably make it out alive.

Poor woman. A horrible thing to have happen....

If I remember correctly, wasn't the chimp her friend's pet, not hers?

For common sense reasons, animals this are prohibited from being pets in Aus. Actually a lot of animals permitted here are prohibited there.
