Hi There, On the IV 15 Checklist form there is a section for date of travel?!??!?!?!? What is this????Can I leave this blank????

Hi there :)

It is asking if you have plans to travel to the US on a certain date. You are not required to fill it in, but they do try and accommodate (reasonable) dates by scheduling interviews to allow sufficient time to print and deliver your visa. This isn't guaranteed, which is why they tell you not to book any tickets, and the general 'etiquette' would be if you are not planning to travel as soon as you get your visa and/or for a specific occasion, then leave it blank to avail earlier interviews for those who do have time frames they're working to.

Examples of this would include anyone on a K1 trying to organise a wedding or applicants with dependents who want to travel in time for their child/ren to start school at the beginning of the semester (as will be my case!)
