CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL!!!

Looks like Friday the 13th isn't unlucky like they say, but who's "they" anyway?!

Congrats to everyone so far! Good news is always uplifting and refreshing :)

I have a quick question...

Do they keep the "evidence of support" (tax returns, mortgage documents, bank statements, etc.)..should I have to make copies for them to file away (which I really don't feel like doing, lol)???

Since our employment verification letter was semi-botched (doesn't say full time or approximate yearly income - only hourly wage), I was bringing his tax transcripts, month's worth of pay stubs and a bank printout. Am I just handing them all of this when they ask for evidence of support? Or hand them the employment verification letter and explain that I have further evidence if they wish to see?

Also, will copies suffice? I'd rather not have to order another set of transcripts when it comes to AOS time, but will do so if they don't accept any others.

Well, I gave the CO 3 years of taxes + W2s (copies of course) and a letter from his employer.

I had paystubs but I didn't give them.

You pretty much give them all your stuff at once and they give you back the stuff they don't need.

I'm not sure about copies, I only gave in originals.

Well, the transcripts we can order again, I suppose.

I'll just make copies of the paystubs and hand it all in. Better safe than sorry.

Wish that damn letter had just been done right the first time. I made a template for the woman and everything...

I gave copies and they took them.

I'll be bringing the originals to the POE with me just in case though.

Clarify this?

I thought all we had to have ready for POE was the unopened package from Montreal, passport (with Visa) and inventory? They could ask for extra documentation?

I'm not sure if they'd ask for extra, I just thought I'd bring the original tax transcripts incase the guy at the border could be picky and demand to see the originals.

You really never know, since the P4 didn't say if they wanted originals or copies.

We included a copy of my fiance's 1040 last year, a letter from the bank from July 2009 about the "current" balance of his account and a letter from his employer that he is a full time worker making x amount of money (and he didn't have have that letter printed in an official letterhead paper, just regular white paper too!) and of course the I-134. They seemed okay with it and took it without needing any extra evidence.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

I didn't get to meet you guys :(

But Congrats :) I think everyone got approved yesterday. Except for maybe that guy that was giving his documents at the same time as us. He didn't have anythings filled out and had a criminal record. He sounded really confused. I don't think he was from VJ.'

BUT If you guys are still in town, which I think yo are, we could meet up!
