What happens if I do not want to remove conditions?

This is what I would do... and in this order.

1. Get her off of everything I own (car, bills, credit cards, ect)

2. Record some of her harsher comments.

3. Let her destroy some things and get it on video.

4. Call a lawyer and present all of this and your story and hope that the courts rule in your favor when you two go your ways.

5. Let her deal with uscis on her own.... if she can prove it was a good marriage she will be able to stay and if not she is gone... but you have no part in that.... let uscis deal with her. You don't have to file to remove conditions.... she does.

6. Have a party with my friends when she is A. Out of my house, B. Out of my country, C. Both

Just Bob,

I thought better of you.

In addition, I bet Kant would not approve of lying if the Captain lied to the Nazis that his first mate is a Jew because he hates

the guy (first mate is not a Jew). Lying to one's advantage is not ethical according to Kant.

Final thought: often the end justifies the means, and that includes lying. Prominent example from my philosophy studies (introducing Kant's categorical imperative, the nexus of morality):

Boat captain in the 1930s has several Jews hiding on board. When the Nazis enter the boat and ask him if there are any Jews on board (for them to kill), he lies and thus saves their lives.

Should he have told the truth?

If you don't think he should have, you just have accepted the premise.

Back to practicalities - most information these days can be restored and any proof that he tried to destroy documents that his wife needed to preserve her immigration status will be a reason for a judge to award her a very hefty alimony.

Cheers!

is this girl mentally unbalanced??? menopause? bi-polar? does she need medication? maybe you should try and get her to a doctor first,

then go see a lawyer. Maybe call a domestic violence hot line and get this documented! This sounds really scary!

just my too sense worth!

good luck!

cdancer

We are about 4 months from her exp date on her conditional green card. She is getting progressively more violent every day.

I have offered to pay for a ticket to return her home, but she says that she will stay with me until the police take her away, or we are together forever.

She shows absolutely no respect for me at all. I own my own home. She does not allow me to watch TV when I want. Does not allow me any peace. Every day, she finds a way to use the F word repeatedly. She curses me and if I try to explain something to her, she gets progressively louder and will never stop! I always give in!

I feel very abused every day! I can not even leave the house when she is angry, or she will destroy everything she can get her hands on. I have considered calling the police, but we all know who the police will take away if I do that. And, yes, at this point, I am actually afraid of her!

If I indicate that I may not do the I-751, she goes into a rage! I plan to do it! I will ready 2 envelopes. One, will have some blank papers in it. This one I will actually send, return receipt requested. Hopefully, when she gets the receipt, she will remain calm until her green card expires. Or, we get as close to that date as we can.

But, what happens after her green card expires? Can I just call the police, and have her taken away as an unlawful alien? I would gladly pay the cost of her removal!

Anyone who really knows about this situation, please advise!

Last warning. Any suggestion to misrepresent, lie or circumvent immigration laws (or support it) will be met harshly. Visa Journey does not condone activity that sidesteps the law or immigration policy, set forth.

Further, this subject is not open for debate, you should take that elsewhere.

Thanks,

Hey guys.

Thanx for all the input. You have given me much to consider. I never planned to get this into so nasty a situation. Therefore, I think we should end this thread. Besides, she has her own laptop. Should she stumble on this, there would not be love and kisses in the evening!

I think I will just wait a little longer, and when she says I should do the I-751, I will just tell her, at that time, I am not going to do it. If she goes ballistic, then I will dial 911.

Besides, she is not always bad. When she is in a good mood, she is very sweet. I just have to be careful not to "push her buttons" as she says. And, she often apologizes and says she will never do it again.

I suggested that we might try a councilor, yesterday. Yes, she lost it, but this morning, she said she was sorry. She feels that counciling will help me to deal with this. She doesn't feel she needs it. Maybe, she will go, if I go!

Maybe, there is hope.

wow sounds to me she might have bipolar ,

am sorry to say but she got you wrapped

if she doesnt realize she has a problem and is not willing to go to counceling with you ,the problem wont stop

but if your willing to walk on eggshells in your own home its your life

I just feel bad that you take the wrap for her mistakes ,

if she cant accept her faults now she never will change you married her to be happy not to have a mommy figure dictating your every move .

so my advice is talk to her on how you realy feel , you love her and counceling will only benefit if both of you go

if she loves you she will go with you she has to learn it cant always go her way she is not a little child anymore shes a growen woman

marriage is a two way road not a one way ticket to the road of missery
