Everyone has all these touches, and from what i've figured they are e-mails rcvd from the USCIS people right?? I've signed up twice and have yet to get an e-mail from them even though when i check my status on the website it changes when they get things from me, like the RFE and such.

Should I be worried I don't get any e-mails or anything?? No touches??

We were married in Washington in August, we submitted our I-485, I130, I765, and I131 in Sept of 06 to the Chicago Lock Box, and got our Green card in January 07!!! Found this was much faster and easier than going through the K1 process.

When you sign up there´s a check box for people who wants to get their updates by email.

Did you check that?

Emails are only sent when your status changes... your first one would have been your NOA1, the next would have been that they sent the RFE, the one after that would have been when they received your RFE.

Not sure why you're not getting the emails... but you won't get one when you're simply 'touched'.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

There are 3 ways to check for updates. By e-mail, if you set up your account so you get them, by searching online or by loging into your account. We know we've been touched when we get an update with change in our status or when we login into our account on the USCIS site and notice that the date has been changed, even though the message is still the same.

From the site:

"* Note on "Last Updated" date: Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email Notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message."

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
