I was looking at the form and saw there was a question on fully or partially supporting someone. Does this include temporary spousal support from a divorce?

No. And really there is no such thing as "partial support" they do not count fractions of people, it is whole or nothing really. Alimony does not count against you. They count your GROSS income only, line 22 on your income tax return, anything below line 22 (adjustments, deductions, etc) do not count. Neither do other obligations, house payment, car payment, credit cards, etc.

The only way an ex-wife ounts is if she was an immigrant and you signed an I-864 for her that is still in effect, then she counts in your household size.

I have 2 sons that are partially dependent on me . I provide no money to them . However they are using their old bedrooms because they haven't saved up for their own places. Do I support them NO . Are they fully dependent on me NO They buy their own food, cars, clothes, gas and such. If the form the line that asks fully or partially dependent ???

Thank you. No she isn't an immigrant, she is an American born citizen.

Do you claim them as dependents on your tax return? If so, and they have their own incomes, I would say partially.

If they file their own tax returns, and you do not claim them as dependents, then you don't list them as dependents.
