I think Lou Dobbs resignation opens an incredible opportunity for a new show on Fox (As if there is ANY doubt that is where he is going). The new show would be "Who Irrationally Hates Mexicans More, starring Lout Dobbs, and BooYah!". The format of the shouw would be a rapid fire "Douche-Off", with both sides spewing their unresearched inuendo and conjecture and passing it off as facts.

I actually used to like Dobbs (except for his ignorant racist fears about Mexican immigrants) until the whole "bring it on toughguy" line. Come on Lou, you couldn't even beat up my grandmother. He was clearly partisan in his own commentary, but on the air, he was fairly balanced in his criticism.

Yes because supporting legal immigration is racist against Mexicans.

he is prejudiced with hispanics that are also legal immigrants.. for Dobbs all hispanics are some sort of plague, who spread leprosy and I don't know what other crazy things he's said

Lou has made some off the wall statements, but I would hardly describe his overall views as being radical right wing (if we're being picky reactionary would be the proper term; radical refers to the far left).

 Somebody paid attention in school.

In 2007, Dobbs repeatedly and falsely claimed that Hispanics were responsible for bringing 7,000 new cases of leprosy to the United States in a three year period. The actual total number of all leprosy cases in the United States in that timeframe was on the order of one twentieth of that amount. The Federal Government's National Hansen’s Disease Program specifically refuted Dobbs' claims, but when asked about his statements Dobbs denied he'd made them and took offense at being questioned on the matter

James L. Krahenbuhl, the director of the National Hansen’s Disease Program, an arm of the federal government. Leprosy in the United States is indeed largely a disease of immigrants who have come from Asia and Latin America. And the official leprosy statistics do show about 7,000 diagnosed cases — but that’s over the last 30 years, not the last three.

The peak year was 1983, when there were 456 cases. After that, reported cases dropped steadily, falling to just 76 in 2000. Last year, there were 137.

here it is

60 Minutes checked that and found a report issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, saying that 7,000 is the number of leprosy cases over the last 30 years, not the past three. The report also says that nobody knows how many of those cases involve illegal immigrants.

"We went to try and check that number, 7,000. We can’t…," Stahl says.

"Well, I can tell you this. If we reported it, it’s a fact," Dobbs replies.

"You can’t tell me that. You did report it," Stahl says.

"I just did," Dobbs says.

"How can you guarantee that to me?" Stahl asks.

Says Dobbs, "Because I'm the managing editor. And that’s the way we do business. We don’t make up numbers, Lesley."

Lou Dobbs is a radical rightwinger who has been making tons of outlandishly freaky statements ever since the Democratic Party took control of the House/Senate/White House. He is a "legitimate news" embarrassment of Limbaugh/Hannity/O'Reilly/Beck/Savage proportions. That doesn't fly at CNN. Expect him at Faux News very soon.

Hmm interesting you leave out OlberDouche and RugMuncher..

But anyways, all of those guys are not news segments. They are obviously voicing their opinions on issues.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

You are talking about Rob here. Aka when you cannot make a legitimate argument, just start rambling horsesh-t. It's an LA thing. Hence, why no one ever takes people from that region seriously. To the contrary, if we want to know about the latest sunset developments in tanning and plastic surgery, we know who to ask.

It was actually ILLEGALS, not hispanics in general. You're being dishonest.

And like I said, if he actually worded it that way, it isn't a racist comment. Even the government says its coming from mostly hispanic illegals, and asians. It may be a lesser number than Lou said, I don't know, but it has nothing to do with racism.

You mean it has nothing to do with overtaxtion? How much of that purchase price goes into the government coffers?

As I said above, something to do with the area.

Taxes is how you pay for a country. The lack of taxes is why CA is bankrupt.

Are you joking? It's a know fact that a third world country will have more diseases than a first world country.

Actually Lou nailed it on this one. Disease is why countries like Australia have very strict quarantine procedures. I cannot even bring a piece of timber in AUS without it being quarantined. All immigrants must be thoroughly screened and vaccinated. Keep in mind most LEGAL immigrants are not poor, so they will naturally be healthier and less likely to be carrying any diseases. Yet you are going to sit here and expect people to believe that dirt poor Mexicans jumping over the border are not transmitting any new diseases to America. Absolute rubbish.

You realize countries like Aus have actually eradicated Malaria and even rabies by means of strict quarantine.

ah... you just can't be bothered to read the whole thing right? anyway.. I guess this is going to turn into an "Australia is better than..."

but.. it's not about the diseases, of course there will be people with diseases.. but his exaggeration and calling it a fact (not an opinion as u say it is) it's the problem

Yes it is talking about illegals. Are you trying to pass this off to people who now know how the immigration process works? You cannot legally migrate to the US with that kind of communicable disease. So he, and the government are obviously talking about illegals.

You saying he is a racist is your opinion based on absolutely no evidence for it.

No, Lou Dobbs problems is the same problem I have with them. They have hogged the US immigration process legally and also trademarked illegal immigration.

Post 2000, nearly 60% of immigrants to the US are Hispanic. Yet Hispanics make up approx 3.5% of the entire world's population. Does this seem fair to you?

No offense, but the SA corruption does not work in western countries. You cannot hide the facts (reality).
