She was given amnesty in 1984 and is a productive citizen with a college education and a beautiful family. Her husband was illegal as a child, too, and got the same deal in 1984 as she did. He supports his wife and kids well. I couldn't ask for better friends and they couldn't be better or more loyal Americans. While it's true that the lax attitude our government has about illegal border crossings has lowered the bar re who gets in, there is still much diversity in the pool of entrants.

I'm not Mexican, and I do not judge on appearances only, but that fits the non-Indian Mexican, criollo/peninsular type of Mexican, as many here can confirm.
