How long did it take everyone to get their interview date????

Hi just wondering what some other timelines are from Cairo Egypt. My husband and I filed the petition DCF, I am now back in the states and my husband is still in Egypt. He send packet 3 October 23 and he got his interview letter today October 11 but his interview isnt until December 22. That seems like a long time has anyone else experienced this much time for their interview or what are some of your thoughts on that? I thought maybe he would get his interview in like 2 weeks or so after packet 3 so I am a little concerned. Any suggestions??? Thanks

Yes, we are waiting.. I sent packet 3 back for our K1 on Oct. 22nd, and still no word from the embassy... I've emailed them twice, once they replied me with a vague answer and the second time they didn't even reply for 3 days now! They are closed on Fridays and Saturdays.. So if we hear anything back it might be by next week... I don't mind a late interview date since we're hoping John can make it to my interview, but I just like to have a date to look forward to and prepare for...

I think the Embassy dont know what their doing half the time. Sure they should know the difference between a man and woman's name LOL They do not seem to want to help much. I emailed them a couple weeks ago about our packet 3 papers and they wrote back and all they said was "if I wanted to know the answer then contact a lawyer" and then I emailed them back and they never emailed me again. Good thing they accepted our packet 3 papers this time. But I was very suprised I thought we would get our interview date much sooner then this. I wonder why some people get their interview dates soon and others it takes much time. I hope since we got a late interview date they my husband wont have to go through long AP and he will be approved soon after his interview. Our baby is due Feb. 18 I hope he is here before then.

Is it International Men's Day or something? :P :P

They addressed me several times as the petitioner although I state in almost every email I send that I'm the beneficiary lol..

Thanks for the clarification Sharifah! I searched it :)

No, we haven't. Is that possible for K1?

We are kinda not in a hurry cause the further it is the better cause John and I will get to save up more for our tickets (although we REALLY want a date to look forward to)..

No I mean they can see whatever updates Cairo makes on your case...so if Cairo schedules your interview or issues your visa....DOS can see this info also...sometimes its faster than waiting for cairo to respond to your email..

Thanks for the offer to help...I think i'm okay though...just have to pass time..LOL. :)
