I just checked the USCIS website and our I-130 was approved! Now what?

You know when ours was approved I thought that was it, I was done! Oh what I fool I was...and my husband and I laugh over that.

Next they will send it to the NVC, and depending on how your consulate does things is how they will do yours. First they will send you a bill for the I-864 and the DS-3032 (did I remember right?) form to your spouse. Once they have a reply from your spouse they will know who to send the bill to the DS-230 too. Once they receive and record the fees for the I-864 and the DS-230 they will send you the forms to fill out. Be prepared, this usually takes about 4 months at the NVC before they finishing processing, and then you can start planning on the consulate.

I hope your journey is smooth.

Thanks guys!

Oh yeah I know we have a fairly long road still ahead of us. I got a little excited just getting word on something, anything. But reality set in fast. I called my husband last night to tell him the news and he's happy but knows we've got lots more to do before he gets here inshallah. Is there any way I can go to sleep and wake up when this is all over with? :D
