It's a very common phrase that is not a jihadist battle cry so much as a general call to prayer and praise of god. Should it transpire that indeed the Fort Hood murderer shouted this out before he opened fire, should this add fuel to the terrorist theory or not?

Not being a muslim, I don't know what the average muslim feels about this. Any takers?

Obviously there is nothing inherently wrong with praising God. Only a total ignoramous would think so, or a self-righteous atheist. But there is something undeniably evil about calling to God before you gun down as many people as you can before you are gunned down yourself. If I were a believer, I would be very angry about any idiot using a common prayer call in this way, and unfortunately, Nidal Hasan, was not the first to do so. He was following in the footsteps of other terrorists. I think that is what adds fuel to the terrorist theory. Not any individual fact about the man, but the sum of all the facts, not the least of which was his "praise to God" before he gunned down soldiers about to be shipped off to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Islam is a great religion but followers like you give the knee-jerk response that Muslims can't do anything and just shrug it off. Non-Muslims can't reform your religion and weed out the radicals- it's up to those who respect your religion to be most dedicated to turning these radicals in. There is certainly nothing wrong with asking. The problem comes from ignorance. Which seems rampant.

As for moderate Muslims, please explain. They either participate in these activities, which is pretty apparent when they are blowing people up that they are indeed extremists, or they don't participate, which is a pretty sure sign that they aren't. So exactly how are the Muslims that don't condone this suppose to "fix it"? These people are nut cases that want to kill, and use Islam as their excuse. But in no way are they true Muslims.

You are so funny. Do we all know radical Muslims? I for one know none. So we are suppose to "turn them in?" turn who in? you act as if we know them in our daily lives or something..okay... and by the way if you would like to know many Muslims are suffering the wrath of crazy terrorists.. they are dieing at the hands of terrorists. Not really, I am curious as to who is right on this one. From what I have read, it's a very, very common call and not confined to terrorist activists but what one reads and what is the common experience for the average muslim might be different so, I thought I would ask.

Well if this was a book with only one chapter/paragraph then you might have a point but even then lets face it he was shooting at american soldiers and considering his thoughts/rants about our involvement in the middle east I dont think we could consider this as your typical workplace shooting, then theres the eerie coincidences...so point being is that in the context of this situation I see it as a battle cry and not the intro to a final prayer.
