Well, Im a Muslim, a Palestinian and I say "Allahu Akbar" several times a day, so I must be a terrorist in training.

Allahu Akbar" means "God is great" and it part of the call to prayer broadcast 5 times a day all over the world. The bar for a Muslim being terrorist is pretty low, since a lot of non-Muslims are redefining our terms and practices to fit their fears and prejudices.

How many people have you killed while doing it?

new low for VJ!

No it isn't. It completely debunks the false accusation that people referring to Hasan and "Allahu Ackbar" are calling all who say it terrorists. Which isn't true.

I wouldn't expect you to willingly admit that though.

No one has made such a claim. This explains, yet again, why you rail in the fashion you do Don Quixote.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

It is only natural to assume that anyone that says "God is great" is a terrorist isn't it?

Actually, everybody who posted in this thread agrees that saying "Allahu Akbar" doesn't make you a terrorist. I guess you want to be seen as a misunderstood victim, but as far as I can tell, everybody understands you.

everyone? No, but I'm no victim.

Not really, I am curious as to who is right on this one. From what I have read, it's a very, very common call and not confined to terrorist activists but what one reads and what is the common experience for the average muslim might be different so, I thought I would ask.

You didn't know that?

Saying it at a wedding = good

Saying it while flying a plane into a building = bad

  ^^^

 Yep, that's about right...

Allahu akhbar meaning quite literally God is great. It's in the call to prayer, it's in the actual prayers said at mosque (or wherever you're praying), and pretty much dropped into conversation whenever fitting like for a pleasant surprise or if you see something really awe-inspiring or if you hear some good news.

But, yes, it is offensive that extremists have adopted it as a sort of war-cry (if you can call it that...)

have you been at a place where there was a terrorist action and u have heard this many times? have u been a witness to this? or perhaps you are watching to much Fox news and movies and tv shows..

The next thing is that I dont even know why I am bothering to reply to this ridiculous post, thread whatever it is. Because I am not really sure if I should laugh, cry, punch the computer and pull my hair out, go on with a huge rant or just ignore it. It seems that people get more and more absurd in their confined spaces.. there is a saying :think outside the box.. the box being the tv and all the propaganda you choose to listen to.

Allahu Akbar is a beautiful phrase as we give praise to God. God is great. he is the all knower and seer and he is the one Muslims worship. If some crazy politically motivated people choose to use it to brainwash, manipulate for their own achievements we Muslims cant help that. If a man who obviously lost his mind, was dealing with his own mental state looses it we Muslims cant help that either.

Truth of Palestine

take time to watch , give yourself time to understand. Then make your conclusions.

Yes you do.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Many times? Once is enough. If you hear a terrorist screaming "Allah Akhbar", you won't hear it again because you'll be dead.
