Neither of you know $hit from $hinola about the Troubles. Have you got that? Big time who cares if your Grandpa came over on the boat three generations ago!

Pick your terrorists, boys. IRA, UDA, UVF, RIRA, CIRA. Even stick the B Specials and the British Army in there. Run your little selves up and down Shankill Road and Falls Road. Omagh, Ballykelly, Londonderry, Greysteel.

They are about children playing in a room, hearing a blast outside, and looking up at their brother sitting on the sofa with his face blown off. They are about men picking up their wives and mothers from work being shot in the head while they waited in the car for the woman to come out. They are about bombs that went off in crowds. They are about snipers walking into pubs while men enjoyed a pint after work. They are about a bomb placed in the front of a business with a 30 second-timer on it, the bomber walking away without a word of warning to the wee girl playing in front of the shop.

Great, now you come to our country and we have to hear how most Americans were to blame for The Troubles. March your butt up and down the street here and rant and rave all you want. Nobody cares where you came from. Leave your fight where you came from. Follow your own advice.

I'm the US citizen, sweetie.

And I really resent idiotic commentary from overly-zealous US 'patriots' about living in the midst of terror. You are so quick to make generalizations about things you know zero about.

Yes and you lived through IRA attacks, so therefore, you know everything about Islamic Terrorists. Oh wait I forgot they don't exist.

What is wrong with your reading comprehension? Did I say Islamic terrorists don't exist? Did I say any terrorist doesn't/didn't exist.

I've never lived through any sort of terror attack other than 9/11 from afar. What are your experiences with terrorism, Joseph?

I was attacked by one, my father was attacked my one, his father was attacked by one, and his father before him as far back as you can go. Oh yeah, and my children and future children will be attacked by one.

So therefore, no one else is allowed to comment on it. And whatever they say is wrong on the subject.

RJ you're copout question doesn't work. Obama has terrorism experts, and there are islamic terrorism experts in universities around the globe that have absolutely no personal experience with actual terrorists. So where does your line of copouts go?

You were attacked by a terrorist in Northern Ireland during the Troubles?

Such a small percentage does care about it at this point in time that I can safely say in general terms, No one cares about it.

The fact is that I DO know about it, and that most people DON'T know, and don't care to know, is why I say that.

Oh you can safely say! You can safely speak for the humanity of others when you clearly have none!

I want you to tell me what you KNOW about the Troubles. What you either KNOW from your own experience or what you know from someone else who has LIVED them.

My cousin is a member, his cousin is a member and the other cousins I don't know are members. I don't speak to them because they are evil.

RJ I don't need to prove myself to you. Because as I said before. Tell me I don't know where Ireland is, tell me I don't even know where my own A$$ is. Fine, for the sake of argument I will agree. You libs Looooove to use diversionary tactics to take attention off the subject at hand which is, Allah Ackbar. Not IRA activities in Ireland and elsewhere.

So - I don't know where Ireland is, or where my A$$ is. So, again I ask, when does Hallelujia strike fear into the hearts of people (since the IRA doesn't even shout that anyway)? How is Hallelujia a tipoff to terrorist activities?

If you shout Allah Ackbar on a plane what would happen to you? If you shouted Hallelujia what would happen to you? Other than dirty looks...

I'm not taking the diversionary bait anymore.

No i wasn't. You know that. It was sarcasm.

Doesn't mean I know nothing about it. I could go down a line of subjects you don't have personal experiences with and also say, "you don't know anything about it" too. But all it would be is self serving way of copping out.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion Joe, but that doesn't mean that all opinions are equal or that they should be treated as such.

Stop being a crybaby.

You're right. Why is it directed at me? I'm in support of people having their wrong opinions.

I'm not crying.

Living with terrorism is something nobody can appreciate until they've lived it.

That's why I don't get in these threads on a regular basis, clucking my tongue like you do about who the evil-doers are and who they aren't.

I've seen what living day to day in an environment of fear can do to a person. I see how my husband is. I see how he is like a little child in the presence of authority. I see his "fight or flight" reactions to certain situations. He used to look in the air everytime he heard a helicopter overhead. He didn't even want to go to the Knights of Columbus for a fish-fry with me - for me it was just a social event. For him he's still got that weirdness in his head that he was in an unsafe environment.

No Joseph - you don't know. You know NOTHING.

No Joseph - you don't know. You know NOTHING.

If thats what you use for "experience" then I have just as much experience. I have 2 siblings that have experienced living in the middle-east with the threat of attacks on a constant basis, and many many many actual attacks. I'm close with my siblings and like you, i've seen what it does. They live among civilians and military alike. Afghanistan is a volatile place right now. My sister is over there again as we speak. So, yes RJ, I know plenty.

And one can easily study happenings worldwide. You're right though, that no one can talk about the what one actually feels during an attack unless one has experienced it. But we're not talking about the terror one feels, or pain of losing a family member to it. We're talking about the mechanics, and items like that.

I'd like to think you're not like most of the libs here who twist things.

But again, I've taken the

If you shout Allah Ackbar on a plane what would happen to you? If you shouted Hallelujia what would happen to you? Other than dirty looks...

There weren't millions of Jacks... thats the difference.

And no one here is saying that Hasan was a member of an organization. ANd I don't believe in anyway that it maligns other muslims who don't adhere to terror. Its just something that tips you off that he obviously was using islam as his motivation for opposing US policy and eventually killing the 13 people.

What am I defending?

Its really very simple. Allah Ackbar strikes fear and suspicion. Thats the point I'm making. Its the libs in this thread (not you) that have diverted attention away onto other things unrelated.

Joe isn't ignorant simply because of lack of personal experience, he is also ignorant because he closes his mind to things that he doesn't understand on believes to be unpleasant or evil. It's not very difficult to understand his point of view nor where this point of view leads if it is widely adopted in society.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

It was apparently enough for a marine reservist to beat a guy with a tire iron.

No - that guy was a flippin idiot who needs to be thrown in the slammer. Everyone knows he's lying about what he said.

Joe, there is no point to your questions. You have fundamentally misunderstood the point of not labelling this man a terrrorist and why the phrase allahu Akbar can't be used as an indicator of evil intent. Not one thing I can do about that, your mind is closed. The only suggestion I have for you is to take up reading, and not simply reading internet bloggs, but real books.
