Been over 1 month since NOA2 noticed? Help!!

Hello Everyone,

Filed in June 18, 2009 and received both NOA1 and NOA2. Got NOA2 in October 8, 2009, yet we've still haven't received the hard copy yet. Can anyone reassure what might be happening to our papers? I'm starting to lose my head.

Also, I'm getting ready to transfer to another Naval Command and it's all the way in the West Coast. Since I filed on the East coast side of USCIS, what will happen when I move. Like, I'm moving next week and I've called and called USCIS and asked them to expedite this for resend and still nothing.

Anyone?? please.

Well a couple things come to mind.

• I would call NVC ((603) 334-0700 I believe is the number) and see if they have received your approved petition and ask for your new NVC case number (you'll need that to give to your fiancé so she can get ready for her medical etc.)
• I would assume USCIS is waiting for the NOA2 to be returned ('undeliverable') before sending out another.

Having the actual NOA2 isn't essential to the next steps - you'll definitely need it when you file to adjust status (AOS) here in the US after getting married, but you have time to get it. Thats the good news - and hopefully NVC has your approved petition. Find out as soon as you can.

No problem - don't get me wrong, you do need that NOA2 (just don't need it right now) and you don't want to let the fact that you never got it run cold. Keep up the pressure on them - make sure they have your new address etc. and follow up once you get to your new station. That and calling NVC is what I'd do if it were me.
