so I went to collect the stuff for the I-134 this weekend from my fiance's sister and she really has not had any time in the past 3 months to do anything... between getting married, moving and having to go to Boston frequently to visit a very ill family member, her time has been limited. She filled out the form, gave me her job letter and just her W2's from the past 3 years. Is this enough? I am a little worried... she does make well over the poverty line as stated in her job letter.

please tell me I will be okay... or should I get her to scan me some of her paystubs or something? She said on the form it didnt mention anything about w2's or 1040's so she never gathered them, unfortunately.

It should be; the job letter and W2s are the primary evidence they're looking for, though paystubs can help.

The instructions give examples of good evidence; a bank account statement with all deposits over the last year would be good.

Ya I saw all the evidence everyone had, but unfortunately when I went to pick everything up, she had just gone off of the I134 instructions and got the employment letter and W2's. She has just been so busy and I was returning to Canada so I didn't have any time to collect anything else. So I am hoping that evidence will suffice. She might be sending me a bank letter too, so I'll just pray they accept what I have.

did you use a co sponsor? if so, what did they ask you for?

If you get a bank statement (preferably signed by officers of the bank), you should be fine. That's pretty much what we had: I-134, W-2s, bank statements, and the 1040. (IMHO the 1040 is just secondary evidence anyway; it only repeats what the W-2s say, and the W-2s are actually coming from the employer, so they're more solid proof.)

We didn't need a co-sponsor as we were above the limit.

We had the I-134, W2s, A signed statement by an officer of the bank (in duplicate), letters from both my employers with how much I've made year-to-date and how much I make salary/hourly, several months of paystubs, and a paper with all my investments listed. I kinda went overboard :D They only asked for the I-134, the job papers and the letter from the bank though.

thanks for the response... do you think once she get the bank letter if she scans it and then emails it, will that be okay if its not the original??
