For US domicile: I have my permanent address in the US (my parents house), I have a bank account, hmmm.....I have credit cards? Loans that I owe money on? hehehe...what else?

So I'd put your brazillian address on questions B.2 and C.2, since you two are in fact living there. Then on question 18. you put down your parents's address, since that's your domicile in the US.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too Laura. And yes, it's the I-130. Thanks for going to the trouble of looking at the form for me!

I just made a list of everything we got to get together, arg. Seriously, I'm looking forward to this being over and we haven't even started. If this was my first visa maybe I'd be more excited, but I'm over it before I've gotten started.

Luckily most of the stuff is pretty easy. And the appointments are really easy to get as well, I could make an appointment for next week if I wanted!

And good news for the affidavit of support stuff: They accept offers of employment as proof that you're above the poverty lines and my Grandmother already offered him a job paying well above the lines...so that's done, we just got to get her to get her tax stuff together. But we're lucky there too as my mom is an accountant and she's going to do all of that for us! yippee!

Can he be the one filling the I-864 though? I thought you were the one who had to meet the guidelines. I mean, your family can be co-sponsor but you're the one sponsoring him, no? Is it different with the DCF?

And no problem at all at looking at the forms, I always do that when people have a doubt to make sure I know how to answer.

This is what the instructions on the Rio Consulate page say:

I just pasted it and read it again and it says that you can use that option is your petition is a "employment based petition" and ours is clearly a marriage based petition!

He can apply for himself if he meets all these other requirements (which he doesn't).

Here's our plan then. I'll fill in the I-864, plus my mom and dad will jointly sponsor us too. AND, my grandmother will include an employment letter as well, as they can only help, even if it will not be solely acceptable.

i love netflix, laura. and i also love directv and dvr. they're great for me who lives out in the country and has a very slow social life. if you're gonna be on a base without knowing anyone you should definitely have it.
