Jules (F) I will say my magic Catholic prayers. I'm sorry you and your mom have to go through this :(

ahh the step mom...hope your relations with her are kosher.....i wanna choke theirs

No, our relations are currently civil, but barely. I do not like her and she does not like me. I'm pretty sure my ex has convinced her that I cheated on him and all sorts of other horrible things about me (all false) to make himself look better, which may account for some of her issues. Also, she's a control freak and has to be intimately involved in everything regarding my daughter. I pick my battles. In the end I realize it's more important for Bella to feel loved, even if I have to suck it up much of the time. Bella needs one stable house hold, and she has that with me and P.

I made it downtown, dropped Bella off at her stepmom's doctor's appointment (she's preggo) (yes, the hormones make it worse), had lunch with P at a fabulous little Vietnamese place, went to the Moore and bought tickets to see The Cranberries in December (YAY) , went to Goodwill and bought 5 books I didn't need, and now I'm home. I need to grade so I don't get behind again, but I seriously think I may take a nap instead.

True story.

Hey, question for you all. I am doing a fundraiser for my Irish Studies kids in December at Barnes and Noble. If any of you have a need to buy a book, would you be willing to do it say, between December 15 and December 20th and use one of our vouchers? I can upload it here. It doesn't cost you anything extra, but we get 10% of whatever people buy. I have 18 kids going and we need to raise at least $500 each to help with their trip. We're doing some community service in Galway and Derry, and they are taking classes before we leave so they can get credit for it.

So, whatcha think? Anyone on here book buyers? Anyone willing to help us out?! Omg, I am a book ####### now.

Oreo Balls?

Who doesn’t love a little Southern cooking? Fried, greasy goodness? I wouldn’t trust someone who didn’t dream about it once in awhile. And better yet, who doesn’t love a little Southern dessert? There is nothing. better. on earth. (I love you, Paula Dean!)

This recipe comes from my best friend’s mother, Mrs. D, a Southern mom who doesn’t have time to bake like all those other mommas. These Oreo Balls are easy, quick and delicious, which is perfect for the college girl with a sweet tooth. You’ll need zero to no cooking experience or talent, so don’t fret if you’re not Betty Crocker. Hell, you don’t even need a full kitchen; you can make these balls of heaven right in your dorm room.

There are a lot of different recipes for Oreo Balls out there, but, again, I’m sticking with Mrs. D on this one. That woman totally knows her shiz.

Ingredients:

- 1 Package Oreo cookies, crushed

- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

- 1 bag chocolate chips, melted or 2 packages dipping chocolate (white, dark, milk – whichever you prefer!)

Directions:

1.Mix the crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese together in a bowl. Use food processor or blender to speed up this process.

2.With your hands, roll Oreo and cream cheese mixture into small balls. Place on baking sheet lined with wax paper.

3.Chill in freezer for 30 minutes.

4.Melt chocolate chips or dipping chocolate in the microwave until melted.

5.Using a toothpick, dip the Oreo balls into the melted chocolate. Cover well.

6.Let Oreo balls harden on a wax-paper lined cookie sheet in fridge or freezer. Takes about 15 minutes.

7.Keep in fridge! Serve cold and enjoy!

Makes about 25 – 40 Oreo Balls, depending on how you make them.
