I think I missed something big

no, nothing big at all; on the contrary, something small, typical and everyday... some people being able to dish it out, but not able to take it :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

no, what is interesting is that you seem to feel that you can say whatever you want with impunity, resorting to such phrases as 'get over it' and 'don't get your panties in a wad', not caring what emotions have been engendered by your remarks, but when someone says something that annoys YOU, somehow you can't take your own instructions to heart, and just get over it

I stand by my original question:

this is the 'Say ANYTHING' thread, in the 'OFF TOPIC' section, where many MANY people do indeed say anything, and things are frequently off-topic, so why is ONE poster in particular singled out when she also says anything, that is off-topic?

as others have said: if there's a 'looser interpretation' of the TOS here, then nothing is wrong with ANY of the posts (including Nessa's original post about Haiti; I think it was shallow and insensitive in the extreme, but she, like everyone else, should feel free to 'say anything' in a thread so named)

on the other hand, if the TOS applies here as rigidly as everywhere else, for Og's sake, apply it to EVERYONE

if you'd followed this thread since it's inception, it's not to attack other members nor is drama appreciated by the regular posters within this thread.

it's not a secret that you have an axe to grind with me. that's fine with me. i don't agree with someone going after my wife because they have an issue with me. fair enough?

i don't agree with someone going after my wife because they have an issue with me.

please state who 'went after your wife' because they have an axe to grind with you

then prove said statement

perhaps someone just *gasp* disagreed with what your wife said; you weren't even around when the first comment (the response to the Haiti remark) was made, so why is this all about you?
