My husband and I are about to apply for my green card and I have a question regarding the tax information and refunds/money owed.

If my husband owes money to the federal government for last years federal tax refund, will this negatively affect my application for a green card? Will he need to pay off the debt owed before applying, or will it be fine to simply provide the W-2's needed that are listed in the application process?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If he owes the money then he'll want to make a payment agreement with IRS. Also, if he does not make enough money he needs to get a co-sponsor.
