Hello everybuddy.

My name's Aaron, and I'm a 23 year old British guy who has been living in the UK my whole life.

Met my fiancée online on my birthday, 26th Feb 2008. Pretty good birthday present, no? We actually met in the dorkiest way possible, in the middle of a game of Team Fortress 2.. I hope the USCIS staff are fans.

She's a 24 year old Floridian/Georgian who is currently living in Texas - a nice little place called Spring, north of Houston.

We hit it off pretty quickly after we got to chatting online - our interests are vaguely similar, and we just seemed to click. We grew attracted to each other in the months that followed, shared pics, talked on the phone, etc etc. In November 08 I hopped on a plane and visited her for 2 weeks. We pretty much agreed instantly that we were right for each other, and they were two of the best weeks of my life.

I visited again in March 09, for another 2 weeks, and again in May 09 - that time for the full 90 days I was allowed to stay. It all worked out great, after a 5 hour wait in customs, and we were both sad when August came and I had to come home. We agreed we really needed to live together, and since she has more ties to her country I decided it would be best to move there. We have since been looking for information, but not really getting anywhere - a lot of guides suggested hiring a lawyer, and we couldn't afford that at the time.

2 weeks ago, she visited me here - and in the Houston airport, met a nice lady by the name of Paris Heart, who directed her to this site and even gave her a list of the forms we'd need to fill in, along with a much lower pricetag than we'd been given before. My fiancée left yesterday, and now that I have 100% more free time I checked the site, and was incredibly impressed. This is an amazingly helpful site.

So we decided the K1 was the way to go, and right now we are scratching funds together to kickstart things.

And that brings us to today - I've just read a billion words about the K1 visa, and while my brain tries in vain to process the information I thought I'd make a quick introduction post.. which turned out to be not-so-quick. Regardless, here it is.

So hello everybuddy! I'm sure over the coming weeks and months myself or my fiancée will be posting here asking dumb questions with obvious answers. I just thought I'd say hi before things even began .

Welcome! Feel free to ask anything you like to one of us, dont read too much here cause #1 you get worried #2 your brain goes soft and mushy #3 you get paranoid. Take our info with a grain of salt and remember not EVERYONE's going to have the same experience as what you are going to have and vice versa. But please read up on guidelines and have your fiance get a book from the library from NOLO about Fiance and Spouse visas that helps on what forms needed and guides as well.
