Hi,

I am the italian husband and my wife is the US citizen. We have money in our bank account (joint, Italian), about 60000 usd. Do we need 3 times or 5 times the 125% poverty line limit to sponsor me on the I864?

thanks!

As you are married, it is x3. Some consulates will only allow US based assets though (I don;t know about Italy specifically), so you may want to consider transfering your savings to a US bank account.

We used Argentinian Pesos and Brazilian Reais and that was OK. We had more than 60.000 usd though. Good luck!
