I had a dog for several years when I was living with some friends in a house with a nice big yard. I had to give her up (to my parents) when I moved into an apartment as she was just too big of a dog to keep in an apartment. My parents just called me to tell me that she has been in the vets office since monday for observations. She has gained a lot of weight in the last year and a half (I gave her up almost 3.5 years ago), and the vets really couldn't figure out why. Well, now they have, they are almost certain that it is Cushing's Syndrome, caused by a tumor on her pituitary gland. Reading up on it, and taking into consideration her age, I'm not very hopeful. I am in fact quite crushed by this. :(

Awww I'm sorry to hear about your dog :(

My dog had Cushing's Disease back when they were first learning about it, and there was nothing they could do. When she passed, we donated her body so that they could learn more about it. This was 13 years ago.

Now, I know they do have some treatment for it, so that it can make the dog more comfortable, but no cure yet. :(

Yeah.. I do enjoy it. It's cheap entertainment. I play maybe two-three hours a day after I get all of my things done.

I totally hear you. Sometimes its just nice to go out and kill n00bs for a few hours  With the account backups, they are so super backed up its crazy. There were something around 3000 accounts compromised over the xmas holidays from what I've heard, and the people who work on the restorations aren't the same GM's you get to talk to with the rest of the tickets, they are more specialized so theres less of them. I can only imagine how much it must suck right now. I got an email that said it was from blizzard@blizzard.com saying they think im selling my account so to respond with all this stuff. I didn't fall for it (wasn't even sent to the email account I'm registered with) but I clicked reply just to see the address it really goes to, blizzard@mail-blizzard.com - not a blizzard email. They make some of them look really legit and people who don't know would fall for it really easy.

My vent today - I hate packing. My back hurts from bending and lifting (improperly). I wish I could be like Mickey Mouse and just command my clothes to get into that space saver bag on their own so I can pack and sit here at the same time.
