The Vent - Part Trois

My sister in law is one of the most irritating people I have met. She is one of those people who completely changes when they get involved in a relationship. She is all about him now. Mel tries so hard to even have a passing relationship with her, but she is so self absorbed, she really makes no attempt. The worst part about it is that she likes to mirror his personality, so she goes from being self-absorbed and stubborn to an immature douche when she is around him. Now the irritating part is that she has been planning to visit us sometime this year for a while. All of a sudden about 5 months ago, it went from all the things that she wanted to see to what her boyfriend wanted to see and go to around L.A.. Umm hello? He wasn't invited, and for good reason. He irritates both Mel and myself almost to violence in a matter of minutes. Her parents have tried to tell her diplomatically, and Mel has told her that she should come herself. She doesn't get it. I guess i'll have to be the ####### and tell her that he is not welcome here. :sigh:

That would annoy me too.

RobandMel-Lol..Your SIL might as well here it from you than from somebody else...Someday she'll thank you for it, for making here realize.."it's not just about the boyfriend", when all her other family and friends disappear.....And yes, feel free to "un-invite" your SIL's boyfriend too!

Glad you had fun for your wife's bday too...Hope she'll like some time with family next too..

As for your SIL...If she doesn't like your house and/or your lifestyle...Tough! Who cares what she things..It's your house, and you can keep it any way that you want..tvs, pool tables, wiis, and all....If she doesn't like it....She doesn't have to visit at all....

Life is not a competition...You live it your way...She lives it her way...So be it....

As for the children thing....Have such when you are ready for such..No hurry...There is no wrong or right time to have children....They are a big responsibility, in all ways, and to be more prepared for such and to wait, is better than rushing into things when you are not ready for such.

Lol Lots o' family vents today I guess

I'm going to surprise my wife in a few weeks but going out to each with her and then having my parents and my brother's family already waiting there for us. We celebrated her bday last weekend with a surprise party with some friends but nothing with the family yet so I thinik she'll like it

Anyway my brother's wife (who has a head that resembles a LEGO, I'm convinced her hair snaps on) has said some really stupid things over the years and is constantly trying to tell us how much better off my brother and her are. Now this is fine with me, I don't really care, my brother is four years older than me and everything, has two kids already, great for them The only problem is I know when they come over to see our new house for the first time, she's going to make it a point to say that the only reason we have the things we do is because we don't have kids yet. Now we're not really well off or anything but we've got the usual plasma tvs, pool table, Wii, just normal stuff really.

My wife and I have decided that probably within a year we'll try to begin adding to our family but it's a sensitive spot right now cause we're just trying to get our careers solidified and get the house setup and ready.

I just know it's going to go from having a great time at the restaurant to a big ol' ####### job when we all come back to the house Lol.

I feel really guilty now..... As i've pointed out numerous times, I hate reality t.v.. I look at it as lazy, and for the most part a load of #######. But then, I found the bottom of the barel when it comes to reality t.v., and I have to admit that I was drawn to it. Sort of like a gruesome trainwreck that you know you shouldn't look, but you really can't look away. That being said.... OMG I can't wait for the next episode of Jerse Shore

When I first saw the previews for that show, I really was blown away that guidos had gotten that pervasive. I had no intention of ever watching it. But I turned it on once and I was hooked

My vent today is WoW related.

As I have posted before, my husband was hacked prior to Christmas. Well, he FINALLY got restored today (14 days). He and I had rolled a paladin/hunter team on the horde side of our server so we could play together when I get to Florida. We got to 34 last night.

Well, Blizzard royally fvcked that up for us. As a part of the restoration, they deleted that paladin and restored the level 7 hunter my husband deleted weeks ago.

As I have posted before, my husband was hacked prior to Christmas. Well, he FINALLY got restored today (14 days). He and I had rolled a paladin/hunter team on the horde side of our server so we could play together when I get to Florida. We got to 34 last night.

Well, Blizzard royally fvcked that up for us. As a part of the restoration, they deleted that paladin and restored the level 7 hunter my husband deleted weeks ago.

They are really overwhealmed at the moment. It seems that they are not doing the full job that they used to. They just try to determine when the hacking began, and simply roll the account back to the settings on that day. They are so lazy that a friend of mine who got hacked while he was on vacation got offered 5K gold on each of his toons if he would agree not to pursue a proper rollback. This was an offer from blizzard.....

Heh, 5k? He was offered 2.5k on each 80, 15 frost emblems (he had near 60) and 80 triumph.

I am really disappointed and disgusted with them. I completely understand that it's the holidays, they're busy, etc, but I'd rather wait to get the stuff back then get half-#### service.

I wrote back with a list of the exact toons there should be and basically told them that doing this change without authorization was BS.

It's a half assed attempt. My friend was first offered 2.5k, but he told them to shove it, he had over 10K gold on his main toon, so they upped it to 3, then 5K on his 80's

That's awful!

They must be really really busy, I opened a ticket and it took them 3 days to respond. Nothing complicated or anything.

That's really bad about the roll back on his character.
