I know, I know. You're human. I make little grammatical mistakes all the time too.

You're just fun to tease about it. :P

We will see, i'm keeping an eye out for any typos Mr.

Today's vent:

The faucet knob in our tub fell off this morning. I tried to put it back on, but it wasn't having any of that. I emailed the landlord and hopefully he'll get it fixed tomorrow.

It's a pain in my #######. We can only turn on the water with pilers on a plastic piece that could break at any time. Annoying. ><

Ugh, my last apartment was like that, and I could not stand our landlords (or as John called them...the Asshats), who lived 10 miles away, were never reliable and ended up cheating us out of some our deposit money.

My new landlords live right next door, and are the best.

Hope you get your faucet fixed soon without any issues :)

Since it's the Holiday's I really haven't had much to vent about, which is always good.

But I dread after the holidays...when my worries return about work and money :(

Grrr - I hate dealing with health insurers here. Back in October my endocrinologist had my try a new type of glucose monitoring system that I wore permanently and took samples every 5 minutes. I wore the device for a week, then he downloaded all of the information from the device and we were able to get a really good picture of my blood glucose 'history'. I have always been a very brittle diabetic and this information has been very revealing about highs and lows that happen outside of regularly scheduled times for monitoring my glucose levels.

So he submitted the information to the insurance company and they sent back a request to provide them with copies of all of the documentation, all of the graphs and charts, records of every test and every visit I have done for 2009 (I go 4 times a year with testing before each time). So, it amounts to nearly 100 pages but they copy it and send it off to the requested address. A month later I receive a denial of claim notice. I call the insurer and they say the claim was denied because they never received the documentation. So I contact the endocrinologist and confirm that they did indeed send it off and verified the address and everything. I call back the insurer and tell them this. They say they don't have it and can they send it again. Preferably they would like things faxed. So I contact the endocrinologist again, explain the situation to them. They say they will make more copies and send things off again but they can't fax because of the volume of the information requested - it would tie up their fax line far too long and they need it to be available for faxes from the hospital, the testing facilities, etc. So, they made more copies and sent them off. Again, I verified that everything went to the correct address and was to the proper attention of the right department.

So yesterday I get another letter from the insurance company saying the claim is still denied because they still haven't received the requested documentation! What the . . !

So, tomorrow, I get to drive to the Endocrinologists other office (they are only in my area on Tuesdays and I am away this Tuesday), find out from them if they have any more information; see if they will make or let me make copies of all of the information requested again, and this time I am going to go to a courier and personally courier it to the Insurer with tracking confirmation and a signature required so next time they can't pull this bs and say they haven't got it.

Grrrr - as if I didn't have enough on my plate to do tomorrow already. Have I said how I dislike dealing with the US Health Insurance system- they should put me on the payroll considering the amount of hours I spend doing their job.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

x2 Kathryn. Its ridiculous how fast they are to deny things without any effort on their part to secure any information to make an informed decision.

Reform to this system isn't coming fast enough.

It's going to be one of those Mondays!

It all started with 4 hours of sleep.... So sick of this matress!!.... Wake up to my husbands alarm at 4:45 am... Uggh try to pull the covers over my head and go back to sleep but the dog is now awake!... How can a 3lb little bundle of joy take up so much room on a queen size bed!?!?

Fine and dandy... Husband leaves for work, I'm reading VJ trying to fall back asleep... By the time I do... I hear his car pull up...just as I'm falling back asleep...

He's home and PO'd because he waited around at work and NOONE showed up... Think someone could have had the decency to call and say it was a "down day". Nope nightshifters showed up too... But left a NOTE...

Brings home Mickie dees breakfast which I'm assuming he was going to eat at work... Oh well

I get a hashbrown outta the deal... Then BRAINFREEZE @ 6:30 am due to a iced cappucino mccafe.... Owwww...

I've given up sleeping today.... Just as I'm falling back asleep the dog needs to go outside....

Guess who's snoring at the moment... The dog and my husband...

*sigh*

Sorry to spoil your vent, but that's The Bangles. :P

Yeah, my wife and I got very little sleep last night too. The bed we're sleeping on at my parents' place is an Ikea converted bed...one of those ones that can be a sofa or a bed. Well, it's fine when I'm sleeping on it alone and can angle myself away from the bars and springs etc., but when the two of us are on it, it's pretty uncomfortable. We were awake for awhile at 2:00, then again at 4:30...then finally got up at 6:30. Fortunately we're driving up to the cabin for the week, where there's a King-sized bed. Woo hoo!

Arrrrgh @ our local courthouse. I've tried calling their # at least 5 times, and it seems as though no one's in. In PA, you're supposed to have a SSN to get a marriage liscense, but you can't get the SSN unless you have proof you need it (ie, a letter from the courthouse). The courthouse is about 45 minutes away, and I work the entire time it's open, every day.

Come ON. I just want ONE easy thing in this whole process.

ARGH!!!!

Why must some people have absolutely no feelings or emotions when it comes to money???

I was just in our truck, which John normally drives, and all I hear is squeaking and creaking.....which he should have heard, even though he has legitimate hearing problems, or the RADIO really loud.

We don't have the money to fix it right now, and when I tell him, he's very nonchalent about it.

Well *I* have to drive it...worried about that, and second, our car has been having issues as well, so what happens if both break down.

I absolutely cannot stand when he does this.

I am falling asleep at work. I know the holidays are supposed to be all good and great because of the extra time off, but I seemed to have taken advantage of all that extra time and screwed up my sleeping schedule.

I went to bed at 11pm last night and woke up unable to fall back to sleep promptly at 2:30am...what the heck?!

So, here I sit only an hour and a half into my 10 hour day...chugging back the coffee and trying to keep my head up. I hate Mondays

The Social Security Administration is a federal department, how can a state law, ie the Pennsylvania requisite that you can't get a SSN without proof that you need one, superced federal laws? You can get a SSN in any state and the regulations are federally standardized. The only restriction that I can think of is regarding replacement cards.
